My Creative Scrapbook June 2025 Main Kit

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great day! If you're looking for a great way to treat yourself I hope you consider trying a subscription to one of the My Creative Scrapbook monthly kits. They select the pattern papers and lots of coordinating supplies and deliver it straight to your front door so all you have to focus on is MAKING! Every month they have several kits to choose from.. their Main Kit, LE - Limited Edition, Creative Kit and Album Kit - so you can choose what's right for you!

This time I'm playing with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers and embellishments from Paige Evans "Happy Haven" and Echo Park's "Life Is Beautiful" Collection as well as a few others to surprise you. You'll also find die cuts, stickers, chipboard, and lots more! Everything is perfectly coordinated to work together and shipped directly to your door!
The kit this time is a walk in the garden. You'll find floral prints, images of butterflies, birds, and even ladybugs! I love the frames that are perfect for creating focal points on your designs.
The colors are a rainbow of muted colors - think soft lilac, baby blue, pinks and yellows - with a pop of dark navy and fuchsia for a little drama!
The kit includes everything you need to make these cards. The only items I added were the card bases, solid cardstock papers, adhesives, and enamel dots from my stash. You can incorporate you own favorite gems or sequins to add more sparkle to the designs.

This kit has lots of embellishments! I coat the stickers and adhesive chipboard pieces with baby powder to turn them into die cuts that I can move around without worrying about sticking them in the wrong place by accident. When I'm ready I adhere them with liquid adhesive.
I arrange the images on clear plastic sheets the size of my card front. This gives me a preview of what the finished card will look like before I commit and adhere everything in place. I can also slide pattern paper under the arrangement to see if my choices work well together.
I had lots of fun arranging the papers and elements. A simple trick to layers is to try to break up the patterns with solids, or to stack dark over light.
I invite you to join one of their monthly kit clubs and experience the possibilities that their coordinated kits offer. With plenty of innovative materials and ideas to jump start your imagination, preserving your memories and making cards will be effortless and enjoyable. You can see all of the different kits available this month here at My Creative Scrapbook.

For An Amazing Friend!

Today I'm playing at the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge where it's anything goes with an optional mood board photo of some very colorful flowers! I'm playing along with some pretties from Pretty Pink Posh!

I started by arranging the teacup and flowers on a piece of plastic the size of my card base. This gives me a preview of what the finished design will look like without committing and adhering everything in place.

The clear plastic also allows me to slip different backgrounds underneath until I find one that makes me happy. For this card I wanted something light so that the flowers would pop, but not too light so that the white tea cup would disappear. A blush color was the perfect solution!
The background is a Scallops Pierced Plate. It adds lots of interest to a plain flat background. It can be a little tricky to adhere. I find that tape adhesive doesn't work so well with a textured background so I always use a liquid glue.
I'm so happy with how this card turned out! I hope you find some time to play too!

Cherry Sweet

Today I'm playing at Shopping Our Stash were this time it's You Are So Sweet! Shop Your Stash Challenge encourages you to use products that you might already have on hand. It's smart to use what you have especially hen you're on a budget.
My card starts with Lattice Background panel that I cut from white cardstock and layered over a pink panel. I topped it with some Scalloped Circles that I stacked in darker shades of pink cardstock.

I stamped the center circle with a sentiment from the Sweet Cherries stamp set. The images are clean line designs and are very easy to color and then cut with the coordinating die set.
The finishing touch was a sprinkle of flowers that I left uncolored and a few Watermelon jewels!
I hope you find some time to play along! I'm sure you have something sweet in your crafty stash!

Waffle Flower June Release and Giveaway!

Awesome news! The latest Waffle Flower Release is available today! To celebrate we're having lots of giveaways on Instagram! We're calling this release Hello Sunshine because it captures summer and sunny days!
The new release includes seashells, lighthouses, crabs, waves, anchors and lots more! If you love the beach, or have a favorite tropical escape, you're going to love this release!

I'm typically a "brights" sort of gal, but I toned it down on this one to give the shells a soft sun-washed look. I layered gold glitter paper under the Seashell Texture Die so you can see it where the edges of the shells lift up.
The shells are easy to color with the coordinating Seashell Coloring Stencil. I added a Overlapping Hello Stencil and Die and an Overlapping Hello Additions "beautiful" script stamped sentiment.
I added some gold flatback pearls to the shells to pick up on the gold glitter paper underneath.
And now the part you've been waiting for!

Waffle Flower June Relapse Sneak Peek Day 3 - Postage Collage Coastal

We're counting down to release day at Waffle Flower Crafts! It's day 3 and the release is available in the shop TOMORROW! We're calling this release Hello Sunshine! Because it's all about SUMMER!

If you're a fan of the Postal Collage Series this one is for you! I love that they keep adding to this series because If you already have the Postal Collage die, or Postal Collage Blocks die then you're able to keep using those with the new release.
This stencil is called the Postal Collage Stencil. It has lots of cute summer images like the beachy crabs and lighthouse. And how about the setting sun and boat?

I used some stamps from the Treasure Hunt set as well as the original Postage Collage stamps for the FOREVER, cancellation, First Class mail and amounts on the stamps.
The stripy border was made with the preexisting Postage Collage Coloring stencil set that's great for solid backgrounds on the stamps as well as the striped edge.
I hope you'll stop by tomorrow - release day when we'll have lots of giveaways on Instagram!

Waffle Flower June Release Sneak Peek Day 2 - Nautical Note

It's Day 2 of sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower Release. We're calling this one Hello Sunshine because it's all about SUMMER!
My card today started with the new Two Step Mixed Stripe Stencil that I inked in bright beachy colors.

I used an older die, the Mistletoe Wreath to create a focal point for the Floral Anchor Die. I embellished the anchor with some "seaweed" - Layered Daisy Die foliage, and a cute little Happy Crab die cut. If you look close you'll see I added some silly eyes over the die cut eyes.

The sentiment is a great big Just A Note Word Die. It comes with a detailed letter die, and a shadow solid die so you can stack them or not - it's up to you!
The finishing touch is always a little bling! This time I added some candy dots. They're glossy enamel dots that are total eye candy!
I hope you'll stop by tomorrow when we'll have more sneak peeks of the new release. If you can't wait you can head on over to Instagram and search #HelloSunshineWFC and see more now!
