12 Kits of Occassions May - Let's Hear It For The Boys!

Oh Happy Day! It's time for the 12 Kits of Occasions! Why am I so excited? Well .. I'm the hostess this month! And the theme?? Yep that's right.. "Let's hear it for the boys!!!". I know. I'm a girlie girl so how did I get this theme? I totally thought I would freak every body out and prove I can do both! LOL!! Still laughing about Tracey doing the "Pretty in Pink" theme last month. I bet everyone thought that would be mine!!    So what did I put together for the kit.. Some Basic Grey "Persimmon" Collection papers and A WHOLE LOT of other things.  I'm always scared to death that my kit's going to be a disaster so just keep piling in more and more.  By the time I'm done there just HAS to be something in there for EVERYBODY!
Happy to share the love this month too with some special guests!  Renee Lynch - the original member that asked me to join the group ... way back when... once upon a time... is honoring me by joining us this month.

I've also asked Richard Breaks - That's Mr. Card Maker To You! To join us this month. Richard has a wonderful style!  I love how he alters and combines elements, putting them together in ways I couldn't!  Ok... the fact that he is a man - and I have this manly theme this month is a big PLUS!  No worries about sending him a kit filled with flowers!

And yes.. a THIRD guest!!! Jill Norwood  was the lucky winner of this kit.  She left a comment on our 12 Kits of Occasions Blog - and get this.. Marybeth's husband picked her as the winner!  The funny part about that is Jill is such a good friend!  It must be karma!

Ok... on with the show... I told you... scared that the kit is a disaster so I made LOTS of things to prove to myself that YES...everything works together beautifully and it will be alright.  SO a personal best..  record setting.... 7 cards for you today!  Enjoy!!

Ready to see more?  Well there are 10 other members and three guesties waiting for you to drop by for a visit.  Why not head on over to the 12 Kits of Occasions Blog where you can get a sneak peek from each designer as well as a complete list of all the products that were supplied with this kit!!

OMG Jeanne WOW!! What is so amazing is you came up with 7 totally different ideas for your cards.....and each one is definitely an outstanding clever and creative job. I love the play on words and you had so much fun and love that you were totally out of your comfort girly girl zone and nailed the boy theme of it all. I'm totally impressed you definitely WOWED me.
Loved your story share for it all.....you are also a very talented writer.....this would be cute to have in with the packets......as it is totally an inspirational piece.....!!

Had no doubt your cards would WOW! even in masculine style. They don't call you 'Queen Jeanne' for nothing! OK, maybe that's my term for you. So many wonders and amazements here, just let me say, adore them all! Papers, patterns, colors, themes, just handsomely done! The string of fish lures are my fav, but each and every one so, composition perfection! Love that you did so many of the fishes for the whole group! Only you would choose to share your gifts with all!

I need to take notes to be able to comment on all the details of your cards Jeanne...but wow! Your kit was fabulous and so were your cards. I loved the first card with all things that hold things together...the tape, the stapler and the clip. Great job of using so many mixes of paper and elements together. I also really liked the lure banner...great for any fisherman. The gigantic cupcake...and the elegant deer with the simple bit of twine wrapped around it also stood out. My own dad wold love that card...good thing I have that piece left over although I have already made his card for this year courtesy of your great kit. Thanks for a wonderful May kit!

Before I go on... and on... I loved having the chance to own the persimmon papers, Jeanne! I have tried several time to buy them! Okay... your cards are as amazing as your kit! Love the fact that the Old Bean card uses the same p.p. as I used with it, AND we each glossy-accented his monocle! Your gorgeous buck is breathtaking. I'm saving/hoarding the gorgeous leaf design for later...
I love them all!!!
Thanks again, Jeanne!

Hi Jeanne! I spent a lot of my day at Botanica's Butterfly Festival talking about monarchs but couldn't go to bed without telling you how much I loved your kit. Your cards are all so fantastic! I never tire of seeing how you tie the elements together. I loved playing with the die cuts and the papers were so great too! I almost never have a masculine card ready when I need one so it's wonderful to now have so many made up. And with all the many leftovers I can also CASE some from the hop too! I know you are behind us with weather but I'll be anxious to see your daylily blooms. Our first bloomed yesterday! With all the rain we've had the foliage is so lush and there are more scapes that we've ever had this time of year.

As always, you've done a fabulous job, Jeanne.
I especially love the deer/twine card, but they are all so spot on.
Yes, you've proved you can do Male cards just as well as any other.
I still run screaming in the opposite direction, but will try and persevere :)
Apologies again for being such a pain over the last Pippystamps challenge. I've put the card to one side to tackle in a few weeks time... Not giving up, just taking a break as I need fresh eyes that aren't post viral. Illness kills my mojo. Should have taken a proper break sooner, but was too fixated on the deadline.
Once again, congrats on your fab selection :)

Holy cow, Jeanne! Your cards are so very amazing, and I am so glad that I have lots of things left over so I can copy you exactly! Loved this kit so much--there were so many amazing and fun things to play with. Thanks so very much, and I am so sorry that my assignment was tardy--I hope you don't take points off my grade for being late.

Jeanne, you have dazzled me with your eye for masculine cards! I just love the stapler card, so much color and so much to look at! I love the lure card (and how we both thought to use the same die cut background with it :) And I love the old bean card, I couldn't think how to use that cute little face, but it looks perfect cut in a circle! This was such a great kit, Jeanne, I loved working with it! Thank you :)
