Fusion Card Challenge #1 - Poppies

Hi friends!  I hope you are having a great day.  It's very cold and snowy here which always gets me day dreaming about summer and my garden.  Today I'm playing along at Fusion.  My bestie Cathy Weber is a new DT member there and of course I want to be there if she is!  I'm new to Fusion and I have to say I really like the concept.  They give you an inspiration pic as well as a sketch. You can use either or both - it's up to you.   Here's what I'm talking about - check the pic.

I'm not so great at color challenges - you probably won't see me playing at many of them.  I guess in my mind giving me three or four colors to work with is just too open ended and I just can't focus in on any one thing.  The photo lets me focus in on specific elements like the patterns on the pillows, maybe some wood grain from the furniture, or even the shape of the headboard.

I don't have that dienamics die with the three circular holes cut so I had to get out the ruler and hope that I could cut three circles in a row perfectly spaced.  I  wanted the circles to be "windows" with the flowers peeking through.
I used the chevron twill ribbon to mimic the stripes on the sketch.  I love all the drama of the orange against the charcoal grey.  Had to add a few enamel dots because I was missing some bling!  Hope you are keeping warm!  Hugs!!

Jeanne, Jeanne, Jeanne...they will be kicking me right off the team and replacing me with you! This is a fabulous card, your trademark orange...how neat that was the main color of the first challenge. I love that you used the twill ribbon in place of the stripes..that you used those pretty poppies peeking from the circles, and I bet if I measured, those circles are spaced absolutely to the tiniest degree spot on! I am so happy you played along on this challenge and thank you for all of the well wishes!
