12 Kits of Occasions - January 2014

I'm so excited to share with you that I've rejoined the 12 Kit of Occasions! This is a group of 12 designers. Every month one of us puts together a kit for the group. On the last day of the month we all share what we made using the same kit. It's lots of fun to see the different ways we used the same items. I had to step back from the group a few months back because of other commitments. My duties have lightened and I'm delighted they were able to let me come back. Amy Kolling is now the lady in the hot seat with lots of commitments and left an opening that I was longing for! There's been a few changes while I was gone including a new web site that you can check out here.

The hostess with the mostest is Sharron from On Papillon Wings blog.  She put together a wonderful Valentine's kit full of peach, scarlet, and grey.  Lots of cute images from Avery Elle, and Momma Elephant, Wplus9, and Technique Tuesday.  I always picture Sharron sitting in her garden enjoying her beautiful lillies and watching the birds (she even snuck a few of those in here for us!)

I made LOTS of cards - warning - lots of photos folks!  I tried to keep true to the kit and use ONLY the ingredients supplied without adding too much of my own things so here's me doing CAS - no bows - well just one bitty twine ones (wink!)  So without further ado... here's what I made with this wonderful kit this month!  Oh yes!  You will see some of the items missing from my kit.  Stinker Binker the wonder dog felt it necessary to assist with the assembling of these cards - that or she's mad at me for too much crafty time and not enough Binker time.

Want to see what the rest of the ladies made?  Just click on their names here to jump to their blog!  Oh and we have a guestie this month!  Be sure you say Hi to Michelle!

I am so happy you are back Jeanne...you were missed! Wow. I'll say it again...Wow! I am so proud of you for getting so CAS! I bet it killed you to resist the urge to add a great big poofy bow to at least one of these beauties! Your cards are really cute...especially love the one with the glasses patterned paper...I had that paper combination out and just could not figure out how to highlight it...and I am glad I didn't, yours is fabulous with the typewriter and heart charm! Also love the one with the angel on the cloud with the hello sentiment...so glad you are back!

So the little angel on the lunchbox note is definitely my favorite :) SOOOOOO sweet, and looks great paired with the chevron paper :) Then of course I love the little angel in the Polaroid, too :) You always have such beautifully layered cards, and you did not disappoint this month!

Jeanne I am reading Cathy's comment and nodding my head--wow you pulled out the CAS big guns sweetie. Have you been keeping it a secret all this time behind the big puffy bows? ;)Love the angel in the polaroid and your eyeglassss card. I had idea for that paper but couldn't pull it off. I think you need to teach me about how to use pp! Welcome back, looking forward to working with you again my friend.

Oh, I super love this kit. The colors and goodies are to die for, and you've used them beautifully! I adore your first cards especially...I'm not sure what it is about them (because they're all amazing), but those are the two I can't get out of my head. Fabulous job with this kit!

Welcome Back!!!
Sorry I was gone all morning.
Wow... Love your angel card , brilliant to add a frame to it and not cut it up like I did .. ( I ruined mine) One of your cards looks a lot like mine I couldn't believe how much we were thinking the same with the orange heart and white flower . Your love note is adorable and I love the perfect eyeglass paper for the typewriter card. Love them all!

Welcome Back! So good to see you back posting here at 12 kits. I love everything you did, even if there are no gigantic poofy bows. they are all wonderful cards. I think my two favorites aer that sweet heart with the bird and branch (I saved mine, apparently to case you, and that typewriter and the eye glass paper. I knew that paper was too special to use, and am so glad I saved it.

Such a fun idea, Jeanne! So glad to see you enjoying being a part of it all! Great job with this fabulous lineup! A bit of an unusual palette for Valentine's Day, but you've totally made it shine!

Wow, look at all these CAS beauties! I thought about you when I was shopping and couldn't find ribbons that matched. Even though I love those big fluffy bows of yours, you can do amazing things without them too! LOVE what you did with the kit. Your angel designs are so precious and I adore your second card with the peach and glitter hearts and the white bird--so sweet. Then your typewriter with those perfect papers for the background looks so great. I never could figure out how to use the eyeglass pattern.

Welcome back, Jeanne! I'm so excited to have you back in the 12 Kits again. But I thought I might be on the wrong blog, because your designs are so wonderfully CAS this month! I guess you can do it all. :) I especially love the little birdie perched on the branch in the middle of the glittered heart and your darling typewriter with the fabulous patterned background. Such wonderful creations with this kit!
