I think we skipped spring and went straight to summer here in the Chicago area. One day I decided to turn the furnace off and the very next I started thinking about the air conditioner! I'm going to sweat it out for a while (until I can't take it anymore!). It's nice to have the windows open and be able to hear the birds chirping in the morning! Now if I can teach the binker (my pooch) that a screen door is the same as a regular door - not an open window for running through! Today I'm playing along with the latest Monday Mood Board at WPlus9. Check out this inspiration photo Dawn put together for us. Wouldn't that be a fab gift for any crafter you might know?
I zoomed in on the pretty satin rolled flower, the little hears, and of course the lace and twine. I got brave and decided to try to roll a flower of my own (yes my very first from ribbon!). And while it took a while to get right (in my eyes at least) I think it was worth the effort. My only words of wisdom if you try this one yourself? Keep a glue gun handy. Once you get it where you like it you won't want to let it go and have it all unravel. Put a dab of glue on a silicone mat and then hold the base in there until it sets up! Oh yes! One more thing! Don't get the glue on your fingers and burn them like I did !
This one looked so elegant after adding the rose that I decided it had to be an anniversary card!
Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day!
Jeanne
