Just Us Girls, Stars and Sparkle Challenge

Wow!  What a week and it is only Monday.  My good blog friend Marybeth just pointed out to me that I am loosing my mind so I am going to try harder to slow things down and think before I write!!!

I got up early with Roger to make sure he had everything he needed for his trip - we made a quick run to Walmart for an inexpensive watch and a pack of chewing gum!  I just got back from dropping him off for his 16 day trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.  He should be boarding his Amtrack train from Union Staion in Chicago any minute now!  It's a 21 hour train ride!    His group  were excited getting into their white stretch limo for the ride to the train station - I wish them a safe and memorable trip.  Even Binker went to wave goodbye!  The boys loved her!

I've been working through my set of month stamps and made this one for the Just Us Girls challenge.  As it is the week of 4th of July they are having a wild card challenge .  The inspiration is Stars and Sparkle and you are able to interpret this as you like.  I made a patriotic card with lots of gems to add some (sparkle) fireworks into the mix.

A real beauty Jeanne, I love this classic color combo, and all the bling. The beautiful gardenia and pretty tag are lovely embellishments, and complement the pretty focal point perfectly.

What a beautiful and festive card. We saw our fireworks last night, and your card reminds me of them. Lots of red, white and blue, lots of motion, glam, and excitement.

Man o' man...what a gaw-jous card! The epitomy of vintage, shabby- chic patriotism! Definite sparkles and fireworks. I'm beaming over here just looking at it. :)

Happy early 4th of July and I hope the trip is a wonderful one, which I'm sure it will be.

Lol, I never used those words, nor would I … with all my mistakes.
Love this card Jeanne! The July stamp is just perfect and so is the pretty papers you chose. The striped one almost looks like material. Gorgeous flowers and bling. I hope Roger enjoys his trip, and you wont worry too much.
