Fusion Card Challenge - Pink Phone

A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge! This one is called Pink Telephone! Isn't the photo of the retro rotary phone with chrome accents so cool? The silver and black dial got me thinking of a fancy doily! LOL! 

Not digging the photo? That's ok! Just work with the sketch! Feeling really inspired? Fuse them together!!

I'm playing with the new Rotary Phone die from Poppystamps! It's so cute! I wanted to think of a clever way to connect the circles - like a phone chain so I mounted the little phones in circle die cuts.

I added silver accents to pick up on the silver in the photo. The circle gems repeat the circle frames around the telephones.

I think this might be a nice one to send to my daughter to remind her to phone home once in a while! LOL! All the pink and silver bling along with the little phones will make her smile!

Pretty Little Studio - 1, 2, 3.. YES Please!

Did you know that more cards are sent for birthday's than for any other occasion?? If you're looking for the perfect collection for birthdays I think you should check out the Pretty Little Studio new Sweet Life Collection! It's full of good things! Like what? Well feast on Cupcakes, Donuts and all good things that just scream PARTY to me!

The background of this card is SKY paper from the 8" pack topped with a My Story Journaling Card. This ruled card actually has a butterfly printed at the very top. I covered the butterfly with a die cut floral spray from the Flower Garden pack. 

A big cupcake from the Cupcake Party die cut pack takes center stage. To make the cupcake even fancier I tucked a 4" Cambridge Doily under it. I only used a small slice so I can save the rest for another project.

There's lots of beautiful floral die cuts in this collection too that make embellishing lots of fun. The new sequin colors are yummy too! You can see all the sequins here! 

I added some numbers - counting 1, 2, 3... yes please! for a simple sentiment! Everybody loves a treat!

Simple Stories Mama Llama Collection

There are so many beautiful new collections available at Simple Stories that the hardest part is deciding which one to work with. With Mother's Day just around the corner I couldn't resist reaching for the Mama Llama Collection!

This collection is a mix of pastels - think blue, green, pink and yellow with accents in chocolate thrown in for drama! The images include llamas (of course) with flowers and hearts for Mom, streamers and banners to celebrate her, and some Southwestern accents to set the scene.

The 12" collection pack has everything you need to make lots of pretty cards! There are a few sheets of journaling cards to cut out and use as the focal point of your design as well as a sticker sheet for embellishments.

I cut some of the images with a circle die cut, but a punch would work just as well. I powder the back of the stickers to release the adhesive, and then attach them with foam tape to add dimension.

The sticker sheet has lots of cute sentiments like "I love my mama" and "save the drama for your mama". These cute llamas and whimsical sentiments are sure to make you smile.

What a fun way to thank Mom for all she does and let her know you appreciate all the good things about yourself that you got it from her!
