Happy Turkey Day

Hi Friends! Just a card today to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. I hope that you have plans with family and / or friends to share some time together, even if it's just over the phone. My sister and I are both born in the last week in November so it's always been a sentimental time of year for me. I can't tell you how many pumpkin pies I've seen with birthday candles in them in my lifetime!

When I saw these Pink & Main Harvest Turkeys I just couldn't resist! They're adorable! This set includes several sweet images and a few sentiments to celebrate this time of year! And of course there is Pumpkin Pie too!

I love to make scene cards with cute critters. I cut waves of Great Outdoors Pattern Paper that remind me of a pretty tablecloth. Woodgrain with a large Fun Scallop edge border makes a focal point for the turkey with the balloon!

The turkeys were easy to color with alcohol markers. I wanted to add some of my favorite fall colors to their feathers.. oranges, reds, and yellows. I think these little guys look like fall peacocks!

Holiday Joy!

Thanks for stopping by! If you're lucky like me you get an extra day to get ready for Thanksgiving! I'm spending today prepping and making whatever I can ahead of time so that when company comes I can just pop things in the oven and relax! (is that possible?)

Today I'm sharing a card made with the Pretty Pink Posh Ornament Cover Panel. I like this series of panels that you can find with other designs as well including pine trees, hearts, butterflies, stars and pumpkins. They're great because they take up an entire A2 card so your designs come together quick.

I cut the ornaments from the panel in shades of greens and reds. You can also use just the ornaments separate from the panel because the set includes the little hanger die.

The background is perfect for a great big bold sentiment like this Large Joy Shadow. I also added a sprinkle of holly and berries from the Holiday Wreath dies set to add more color and a festive look to the design. And don't forget some gems!

My Creative Scrapbook November 2024 Main Kit

I love the traditional red and green of this kit that just screams CHRISTMAS! There are so many embellishments that include cute reindeer, jolly Santas and gorgeous florals too!

The kit includes several double sided papers so you'll have lots to choose from including plaids, dots, stripes, florals, and fun prints too!

I love all the little extras that include frames, tabs, banners and flags. The mix of elements includes stickers, chipboard, and die cuts.

I always arrange the elements on pieces of clear plastic the size of my card base. This helps me figure out the arrangement before I commit and adhere everything in place. I apply baby powder to the backs of the stickers so I can use them more like a preprinted die cut and adhere them when I'm ready.

I had lots of fun making scene cards with the kit. Wavy hills become landscapes that you embellish as you like.

I had lots left over when I was done so I can make some tags and embellish my day planner too!
