Party Like Its 2023!

Today I'm playing along at the Double Trouble Challenge. Thing one is Christmas or any other holiday. Thing two is keep your design white, and Thing three is rainbow of color choice. I'm sharing a New Year's day card with a RAINBOW of all the colors!

My card starts with the Waffle Flower hot foil Swag background on white cardstock. Next I used the coordinating stencil set to cover the swags and apply blue Distress Ink to the background.

I colored the swags with Copic Markers in rainbow colors. The foil makes it easy to stay in the lines!

Next I added the 2023 numbers repeating the foil by cutting the number backgrounds from gold glitter cardstock.

The sentiment is easy to add right through the middle of the numbers on a strip of white cardstock.

I wish you could see the shine on this one... it's totally a party going on!

Elegant Floral Birthday

Do you love florals? Well then.. you're going to have to make some serious choices because there are so many beautiful florals to discover at Pretty Little Studio. Today I'm sharing a card made with the Ginger Snap Collection.

This card features the Dried Flowers die cuts arranged on a journaling card to create a focal point. I selected flowers and leaves in rich warm shades of brown and violet. A die cut scallop border runs along the left edge of the journaling card.

A simple sticker sentiment is added above a clear sticker row of faux stitching. I love the extra detail it adds without taking away from the beautiful flowers.

If you look close you'll see that the flowers are adhered with adhesive foam tape and the leaves are tucked in behind the flowers, and adhered flat to the card base. This is a great way to add dimension and make your cards look richer.

A few sequins are added for some extra color and shine. I think this card is absolutely stunning! Thanks Pretty Little Studio for making it easy!

Elongated Hex Foil Christmas

Sending you wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year today with this clean and oh so shiny gold design!

My card starts with a hot foil Elongated Hex background on white cardstock. Next I used the coordinating stencil set to apply Picked Raspberry and Twisted Citron ink to the design.

To add "jewel" like centers to the background I applied Nuvo Glimmer Paste with the smaller stencil in the set. The Distress Ink reacts with the liquid in the paste to color it.

I topped the design with a simple foil sentiment. The Oversized Merry Christmas is foiled on white cardstock and adhered with adhesive foam tape.

I added some Christmas Subsentiments foiled on black cardstock to add a little drama.

It it modern or is it retro? I love the twist on traditional red and green and swoon! all that gold! I'm linking up at CAS on Sunday where they're looking for embossing.
