Waffle Flower August Release

Welcome to the Waffle Flower August Release Blog Hop! This month we're going tropical with fresh fruits, jungle friends, and lots of jungle foliage! This exotic bird die was previously only available in a kit. You can now purchase it separately and mix it and match it with the other tropical items in this release. Like what? How about that fab Pop Up Tropical Leaves background die that I inked with the coordinating stencil.

The background on this one is the Doodle Print Foil Plate. I inked it with Distress Ink above and left it plain on the kraft paper below. I love the fun print! And it's also available as a stencil.

Those cute critters on both of the above cards are from the new Jungle Party set. It includes the two elephants, birds, and monkeys. I think they'll double nicely as Valentines!

This is the Splatters foil plate! I love that it looks like confetti perfect for the new Stacking Cake die that you can embellish with inked stencil designs.

If you're feeling fruity we've got new Fruity stamp, sentiments and texture plates too!

The Fruity Foil background die has a coordinating stencil set that colors the images seamlessly because they aren't made to match up. I paired this background with the new Fruity Icons die that cuts and outline of six different fruits.

Ah.. the finale! The new Fruity Cake stamp set. I tried to include as many of the images as I could on this one but there still wasn't enough room!

Happy Bee Day !

Hi friends! Now that it's August I'm thinking of back to school and fall.. I know.. I need to slow my roll! I blame all the bees in the yard for my thoughts.. they always get more abundant and aggressive this time of year like they're stocking the hive for the coming winter. Just today I found a nest of yellowjackets in the ground and a big wasp nest in my patio umbrella. They're buzzing around the jam in the Oriole feeder and I need to keep my eyes open!

So I decided I will celebrate the bees with this fun card featuring supplies from Waffle Flower. The bees do their part and life wouldn't be good without them. I'm not the only one celebrating the little buzzy bees... there is a challenge at Paperminutes looking for bees on your projects!

My card starts with a simple blue cardstock background topped with some hexagon die cuts. I added a branch and a great big hive .. (are you seeing Winnie the Pooh yet?).

Now for the fun part.. embellishing the branch with little leaves and flowers. If you look close you'll see the flower centers are enamel dots.

Assembling the bees was super easy and a simple die cut sentiment finishes things off.

Spellbinders August 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit

This kit is totally about good vibes and fun in the sun. I love that every month is a surprise and I just can't wait to tear open the box!
