We're taking a walk in the garden today with the Pretty Little Studio You Are My Sunshine Collection! This time of year I start getting anxious for Spring! I'm planning what I'll plant in the garden and day dreaming about the yard in bloom!

To get my flower fix I turn to my craft space and surround myself with beautiful paper flowers. The florals in this collection are absolute stunners and sure to satisfy!

This collection has all the extras - die cuts, pretty prints in clear, vellum and cardstock, faux stitch stickers, 3x4 journaling cards, tabs and lots more. You'll have lots of fun mixing and matching until your heart is content with your design.

I always order two packs of the florals so I have double the foliage and can repeat flowers in my designs. The only thing I added was a few colorful sequins for some sparkle on my design.

Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop and Giveaway!

It's a great day for a visit because it's Day 3 of a 4 Day blog hop sharing projects made with the latest Pretty Pink Posh release! It's their birthday so this month is EXTRA Special! Can you believe it's been 11 years? And every year is better than the last.

My card is a little mix of the old with the new. I started by arranging the new Birthday Cake Pops on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base. I had fun cutting the images and watching them come to life as different colors represent different flavors!

The cake pops include everything you see.. the sprinkles for the pops, the little party hat and even the bows and candles.

The clear plastic makes it easy to slide background paper under your arranged design to get a preview. This time I used an older die called Pierced Stars - it's an A2 size die and makes a plain cardstock background look fussy.

The finishing touch is always a sprinkle of bling! I added flat back pearls to the bows, and sparkly jewels to the background!

Hugs My Wonderful Friend

Hi and thanks for stopping by! I've been out of commission for a while with a bad cold. I'm finally out of bed and excited to be making! Today I'm playing along at We Love To Create where they're looking for anything Mixed Media/Papercrafting.

I love the Foilable designs from Pink & Main. It's so fun to pair the preprinted toner designs, pair them with your favorite foil and run them through the Minc hot foil machine. The imprint is perfect every time and you can also use the negative that's left behind and make another panel so there is no waste.

I paired the House Plant Foilable with Tinsel Green Foil and then colored the design with alcohol markers. The marker leaves a streaked design because the paper has a shiny finish but I think that helps create the illusion of a watercolor design.

I topped the pretty finished panel with a Big Hugs sentiment. The background is cut from vellum and the smaller detail design is in white cardstock. I finished the sentiment with a simple strip stamped with a sub sentiment from the Hello Sentiments stamp set.

I hope you find some time to make. It's a great way to destress and recharge. I know it always makes me feel better!
