Fusion Card Challenge - Valentine Cupcake

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and you'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

I'm always first drawn to the inspiration photo. I mean, come on.. check out those yummy cupcakes.. swoon... CHOCOLATE!!! And the heart decorations on top look beautiful. Treats for your sweet heart this time! Maybe your not a chocaholic? And the photo isn't inspiring you? That's ok.. you can still play along with the sketch. If you're really feeling clever you can fuse them both together.

I started thinking cupcakes.. and my mental inventory of what's in my stash. Thank goodness I found my Frosted Cupcake from My Favorite Things. It's easy to cut and add accents with because they have a background die and separate dies for the details.

I die cut a banner from an old Blueprint Sketch set (Lucky Number 13) and then die cut the Stitched Heart Grid along the top. It makes a nice base for the cupcake.

The pink heart are from the Flop Card Heart and it's topped with Love Speech Bubbles. The sentiment is from the Pure Innocence Sweet Summertime set.

The 12 Kits of Occasions - A Year of Birthdays

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! I've got a treat to share today! Tracey McNeely from In My Creative Opinion blog surprised me with a kit. This was unexpected because there are lots of changes happening in the group with lots of great ideas moving forward in 2021.

Tracey is calling this kit A Year of Birthdays and it includes lots of bright happy papers from Vicki Boutin and images from The Greetery, Studio Katia and MFT. Tracey's style is CAS and I tried to channel her on a few of my cards to make her proud! I made SIX cards!

Fusion Card Challenge Hot Cocoa Bar

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great holiday! Fusion Card Challenge is back in business after our holiday break. Here's the first challenge of 2021! There are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

My first look is always at the photo.. this time we have a hot cocoa bar with red lined coffee mugs, marshmallows, chocolate, whipped cream, sprinkles and all good things. It's giving me a craving for a cuppa now! Not loving the photo? That's ok.. just play along with the sketch!

My mind is on Valentines about now so I gave the mugs a little "upgrade" with a stitched heart embellishment on each. 

The cups are layered on a Stitched Mini Scalloped Circle that's layered over a Triangle Screen Cover Up.

The label print sentiment is from the new Waffle Flower Love Letter stamp set. I love the die set in this set... it allows you to cut all the labels in one pass..

I know that makes my life alot easier. I'm going to keep this handy die on my desk so I can cut sentiments from any brand.

The 12 Kits of Occasions - Happy Birthday!

Oh Happy Day! t's the last day of the month and you know what that means right? It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions! The 12 Kits of Occasions is a group of 12 friends who all love to paper craft. Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group. We all receive the same kit with the same items. On the last day of the month we reveal what we each made with the kit. It's fun to see how we used the product in different ways. Sometimes the projects are similar and sometimes they are very different.

Nancy Penir from Artful Notions is our hostess this month and she put together an amazing kit with a birthday theme. Nancy always amazes me with how she transforms the papers with ink, glitter and the most amazing details.

Her kit this month includes My Favorite Things, Spellbinders, and even a cute purse gift box from Concord and 9th. Many of the die cuts were left in clean white card stock ready for us to transform. I tried to channel Nancy and get my inky on! I hope I did her proud!
