Sow Glad We're Friends

Today I'm playing along at Ellibelle's Corner - Garden Party No. 18 where it's anything in or from a garden. Ok so how many of you out there have a garden gnome? Hand raised here! I've got him tucked in a secret spot so you need to walk around the entire yard to find him!
My card features lots of goodness from Waffle Flower. I started with a green cardstock background topped with a Gingham die cut to look like a white trellis for the garden.

I used a circle die cut to create a focal point and then topped it with the Seed Packet die. The die set includes the layers you see so you can customize the seed packet for the blooms or veggies of your choice. There is a Seed Packet Icons set that includes some of those like the violet I used on my card.

I added a sweet Happy Gnome and a punny sentiment to complete my design.

I hope you're having a great weekend and that you find some time to play along!

You are My Sunshine

Sending you some sunshine today with some bright die cut Hibiscus Flowers from Pretty Pink Posh!
I love bold graphic style and always try to incorporate as much color as I can to my designs. If you look close, you'll see that my background has three layers of yellow cardstock. The lightest shade is closest to the top, and has been cut with the new Sunburst Pierced Plate.
I topped the panel with colorful Hibiscus Flowers. The die set includes a large, medium and small flower and leaf. The flowers are easy to assemble. I cut the largest die from dark cardstock and then layered a lighter shade for the flower centers.
I adhered the flowers with adhesive foam tape so they're raised. This makes it easy to tuck the leaves under the flowers wherever you like. My sentiment is from the Happy Summer stamp set. I love how the coordinating die set fussy cuts the mixed font sentiment!
I hope you'll stop by for more designs made with the new release and for some daily inspiration!

I'm linking up to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge where they want you to add LOTS OF LAYERS!  I have three shades of yellow cardstock stacked under these beautiful blooms!

My Creative Scrapbook August Main Kit

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great day! If you're looking for a great way to treat yourself I hope you consider trying a subscription to one of the My Creative Scrapbook monthly kits. They select the pattern papers and lots of coordinating supplies and deliver it straight to your front door so all you have to focus on is MAKING! Every month they have several kits to choose from.. their Main Kit, LE - Limited Edition, Creative Kit and Album Kit - so you can choose what's right for you!
This time I'm playing with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers and embellishments from Simple Stories Open Road Collection. You'll also find die cuts, stickers, and lots more! Everything is hand selected with care and perfectly coordinated to work together and shipped directly to your door!
I love that the kits are selected with the time of year in mind so that your favorite holidays and past times are covered. This month the theme is summer appropriate with a travel theme. Lots of us travel this time of year when the kids are out of school, and the kit is ideal for not just cards, but for documenting memories.
The fresh mix of pastels and bold jewel tones is really eye catching and appealing. The different elements include roadmaps, restaurant receipts, license plates, bottle caps, graph paper and everything road trip related.

They've even thought of different destinations - like desert and wilderness campgrounds for some of the elements. You'll find different stop off elements as well - snacks from the gas station, or diner.
There are plenty of sentiments to choose from including stickers, and some of the die cuts. I tried to incorporate as many of the images as I could, but I left a whole bunch behind! I'm saving those for other projects.
My favorite 12" page from Simple Stories is always the Journal Elements sheet. It has several different cut apart journaling cards perfect for creating focal points for your designs.
Another repeating element in this kit is the butterflies - you'll find them in the papers, die cuts, stickers, and more. And there are lots of arrows to keep you pointed in the right direction!
I invite you to join one of their monthly kit clubs and experience the possibilities that their coordinated kits offer. With plenty of innovative materials and ideas to jump start your imagination, preserving your memories and making cards will be effortless and enjoyable. You can see all of the different kits available this month here at My Creative Scrapbook.

I'm linking to Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge where the optional theme this time is Look To The Skies!

This is my last post for My Creative Scrapbook.  I'm stepping down from a few teams so I can focus on family.  I'm still a huge fan and will really miss being a part of this team and working with this wonderful kits!
