Spooky Halloween Collage

Today I'm linking up at Cupcake Inspirations where this is the inspiration photo for challenge #605!
Normally I'm inspired by the photo - but instead of making a witch design, this time I thought I'd challenge myself and work with the colors.

I started with a Distress Ink background of green and purple for my night time cemetery scene. I topped the panel with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Blocks to define each window.

Next I added images from the Spooktacular stamp set. It has lots of little images perfect for the window sizes.
I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and then cut it with a Slim Shaker Circle that added the pierced detail along the edges.
Happy Halloween and HAVE FUN!

Postage Collage Spider Spooktacular!

Can you believe that Halloween is this Thursday? Time is flying! It's my favorite season so I'm going to sneak in as many Halloween cards while I can! Today I'm playing along at A Cut Above. It's a challenge for folks like me that love die cuts.

This time they're partnering with Double Trouble Challenge and if you meet their criteria you can link up at both challenges. I did follow Thing 1 and chose three colors - yellow orange and purple, AND Thing 2 because I used at least one die that represents HALLOWEEN - the spider.
I started with a Distress Ink background that I topped with a lilac Postage Collage Block die - its an A2 size frame die with lots of openings for you to fill. I stamped Spider Webs inside the openings.

On top I layered a Cute Spider with a witch hat from the Waffle Flower Sweet Ghosts set.

I double cut the "boo" from purple and gold glitter paper to add a little sparkle and shine.
A circular sentiment is added by layering circle die cuts... The sentiment is stamped on white cardstock and cut with a Slim Shaker Circle stacked on a larger purple Slim Shaker Circle, stacked on a Nested Pinking Circle cut from gold glitter paper.
I hope you enjoying your day and getting excited about Halloween!  It's almost here!

No Tricks Just Treats!

I love Halloween! What could be better than dressing up, staying out late, being mischievous and don’t forget the candy! The new Pretty Pink Posh Candy Bucket is just the thing to hold all your favorite treats!
This Candy Bucket is so clever because you can easily alter it to look like a ghost, a monster, a traditional jack o lantern or Frankenstein like mine!

This release is loaded with lots of great die cuts so you’ll have lots of choices for ways to add treats to your Candy Bucket. I used lollipops from Spooky Mug Additions, wrapped candies from the Ghost Holder die set, and gummy worms, chocolate webs and a sweet little ghost from the Big Halloween Cupcake die set.
The finishing touches were a sentiment from the Sentiment Strips: Halloween stamp set, some Creamsicle pearls and a sweet little bow from the existing Beautiful Bows die set.
That fabulous background is created with my favorite border dies – the Stacked Edges. I have several of these dies so I can cut lots of borders at one time and always save the extras in an envelope so I’m always ready to make. The cut border dies fit together like puzzle pieces leaving a nice flat background much like a cover plate.

I'm linking up to Time Out Challenges where they're looking for baking/sweet treats.  I think this bucket of candy counts!  YUM!
