I Love You A Choco Lat

Have you seen the Chocolate Love stamp set from Pink and Main? If you're a chocaholic like me you're going to love these!

 

I inked and then colored the images with alcohol ink. The hardest part was deciding which of the images to use. I decided on a pair of bon bons layered over some stitched hearts.

The background is shades of pink topped with the loopy frame that reminds me of the little swirl they put on top of different chocolates so that you know what's on the inside. (Told you I know my chocolate!)

I added a few sentiments - one along the top, and another along the bottom to draw your eye across the design. The finishing touch is a sprinkle of gems for some added sparkle and shine!

Valentine Word Scenes

It's Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a good start and that you've got something fun planned! I'm playing at the Crafty Calendar Challenge where this time Love is In The Air!

Top to bottom I started with the Valentine Word Scene "I Love You" stamp from Pretty Pink Posh. It was easy to color and then cut with the coordinating die set. I used alcohol makers and shaded the letters in pink, and the hearts in red!

I layered the die cut on a background of Eyelet Hearts.  I cut them in different color to create more layers.

The background is created with the dies. These are border strips that assemble like a puzzle to create a nice flat background. I actually own two of each set so I can cut lots at one time. The stitching makes them a little difficult to get out of the metal die so be sure to add some wax paper between your cardstock and the die.

Candy Cane Christmas

Have you seen the newest collection from Pretty Little Studio? It's called Candy Cane and it's just gorgeous! I'm a multi color light gal myself and I can't resist the rainbow candy colors in this collection!

Melissa pulled out all the stops on this collection! It includes prints on paper, clear acrylic and vellum. There are loads of die cuts - think frames, tags, images and words. My favorites would have to be the die cut strings of garland and fun hand drawn florals and foliage.

 

I used a clear sticker sentiment on my card today. I simple stuck it on a piece of white cardstock and then die cut it with a sentiment strip flag. You could easily use a punch in another shape. This collection even has clear sticker faux stitches for embellishing.

A die cut tag is the focal point on this card. Adding a faux stitched heart along the top and bottom creates a focal point for the sentiment. The string of garland draws your eye from the top to the bottom so you can soak up all that eye candy!

t's never a bad time to start working on your holiday cards, and when this paper is so pretty it feels magical making!

Waffle Flower February Release and Giveaway!

Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you've been enjoying the last few days of sneak peeks from the Waffle Flower February release! Good news! The release is officially available in the store today! Read to the bottom to learn about the giveaway!

My card today features the new Easter Silhouettes stamp set. This is the latest addition to the postage collage series, and the images are designed to fit perfectly inside the Postage Collage Frames, Postage Collage Stamps, and Postage Collage Blocks.

I started with the background for this card. I wanted something that would make the silhouettes stand out and decided a rainbow of color would be perfect. I used rolls of sticky tape and Distress Ink to ink 1/4" stripes.

Next I cut the panel with a stitched A2 rectangle from Lacy Layers, cut a Postage Collage Block die and placed the panel in my Misti. I placed the stamps in the windows and inked with Versafine Onyx Black. The Misti allowed me to repeat stamp to get a clean dark impression with lots of detail.

Waffle Flower February Release Sneak Peeks - Day 3

It's day two of sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower Release. This one is called Spring Time because this release is full of egg hunt icons, sweet critters and fresh Easter Vibes.

These designs make it easy to build bright happy cards with simple layers and fun details! My card today features the new Basketful of Bunny die n stencil set. My favorite cards to make are scene cards and this one was fun to make!

I started with that light green grassy background panel called Grass Texture Die. I topped that with greenery from the Sweet Grass die set and then added the basket and sweet little bunny.

I cut the bunny from light brown cardstock and then added it's spots with the coordinating stencil set. The tulips are three layer for more dimension. I cut their stems from different shades of green and added a little yellow bow.

Waffle Flower February Release Sneak Peeks - Day 2

It's day two of sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower Release. This one is called Spring Time because this release is full of egg hunt icons, sweet critters and fresh Easter Vibes.

These designs make it easy to build bright happy cards with simple layers and fun details! My card today features the new Sweet Bluebird Duo die set. The birds are easy to assemble and look great in different colors. I couldn't resist making mine a bluebird.

Yes that Dashed Diamond Background cover plate is new too! It adds great texture to your designs so a simple flat cardstock background suddenly has some depth and more interest.

The nest is a separate die set called Sweet Nest. I added the eggs from the Egg Hunt Sentiments coordinating die set.

The stamp is from Basketful Sentiments and there are lots of great sentiments perfect for spring!

It's a great day for a visit because today is the first day of sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower Release. This one is called Spring Time because this release is full of egg hunt icons, sweet critters and fresh Easter Vibes.

These designs make it easy to build bright happy cards with simple layers and fun details! My card today features the latest addition to the Postage Collage Collection. This stencil set is called Egg Hunt!

I used the existing Postage Collage A2 die, but it's also available in different sizes that will work. You can also use the Postage Collage Frames or Postage Collage Blocks with this stencil set.

There's a coordinating stamp set with the same name so you can add the Easter cancel stamps and little sentiments.

I used the Postage Collage coloring stencil to create the striped frame around the larger panel under the postage stamp dies.
