From The Garden

Guess what? I found a new place to play! Have you discovered "The Flower Challenge"? I mean who doesn't love flowers? They're probably my favorite subject when paper crafting.

My card today features the Papertrey Ink From The Garden florals. These are triple stamped flowers. I used Altenew Inks because they have the best assortment of ombre colored inks out there. All the guess work and mixing and matching is done for you. The inks are available in beautiful colors but I love that they're "self healing" - what I mean by is that as they dry the color evens out ant they look smooth .. not splotchy - especially on solid stamps.

The florals are arranged on a die cut panel called Border Bling Flower Frame. I layered it over a distress ink panel in citrus shades.

The sweet sentiment is from the same stamp set as the flowers and is perfect for your sweetie or your best friend.

Fusion Card Challenge - Feathered Friends

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and you'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

You know me.. always attracted to what I see.. and I spy some GORGEOUS tropical birds. I confess I love watching the birds and they just don't get prettier than these! Maybe the photo isn't inspiring you? That's ok.. you can still play along with the sketch. And this time there is a THIRD way to play.. use the color chart and make it a color challenge!

My card starts with a rainbow Distress Oxide blended background for my colorful bird. This is the Papertrey Ink Feathered Friends 10 bird. I switched up the colors to make it a looker and am so happy with how it turned out.

The oval in the background is also from Papertrey Ink. Its the Shape Shifters Oval 1 and is so pretty and intricate. The white breaks up the background so the bird can take center stage.

The pretty die cut leaves are a Simon Says Stamp exclusive designed by Memory Box called Etched Laurel Leaves. The sentiment is from Waffle Flowers Essential Celebrations set. I love that the dies fussy cut out the words so they're not square. The finishing touch are some metallic gold pearls from Pretty Pink Posh.

Walk With Me

Does anything say summer fun more than a bright pair of sneakers or sandals? I think you can pull off just about any color you want in the summer.. it's all fresh and fabulous!

Today I'm playing along with Moving Along With The Times where they're looking for some SUMMER FUN!

I'm playing along with Papertrey Ink Walk With Me. This is a multi stamp shoe set. I only stamped two of the layers.. the outline and the top coloring. You can also fill in the shoe soles with the set. The set even includes a set of sandals.

I used my old Stamp-a-ma-jig to line everything up. I love my Misti, but sometimes covering a big sheet isn't so easy.

Feathered Friends 12

It's another rainy day here in Northwest Indiana.. it seems like it's been a week of rain for us.. lots of dark skies, tornado sirens going off, and yes.. wet weather. Miss Moriko is not happy with all the thunder or the wailing sirens so she's been staying close! When the sun finally comes through it's hot and humid! A great time to take a break inside and play right?

Today I'm playing along at Cupcake Inspirations where the theme is Oh Birdie. I love the chocolate nest for the little chickies in the photos.. but my mind is still on Summer and bright bold colors. I hope that's ok.. I see lots of different style birds linked up there!

I'm smitten with the Papertrey Ink bird dies! Meet the new Feathered Friends 12! Yes! A beautiful Flamingo!

My cards starts with a Distress Oxide background topped with a Gem Stone die cut. I left all the cut outs in place to add more white to the design. I topped the frame with the flamingo and some pretty florals from the Sidewalk Chalk set.

Stamping the florals with colored ink on colored paper really adds COLOR! Some of the images are adhered flat to the card while others are adhered with adhesive foam tape to add dimension.

Fusion Card Challenge - Summer Dreamin'

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! If you're looking for a new challenge you'll find another winner at Fusion Card Challenge . You'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

The inspiration photo this time is called "Summer Dreamin'" and I have to say that's sure what it looks like.. a good book on the beach with a straw hat and a burlap bag of all the essentials. Can't forget that lemon.. maybe it's to lighten your hair in the summer sunshine. You can spin the photo into a color theme of neutrals and yellow, or perhaps you see another element that jumps out at you.... seashells??? If you're not inspired by what you see in the photo.. then you're welcome to play along with the sketch. If you're feeling really clever you can FUSE them together.

The inspiration actually got me summer dreaming of days on the beach watching my kids build sand castles and watching the little sand pipers darting around the beach.

My cards starts with a distress ink background of surf and sand for my little bird. I topped the panel with a fancy background die cut frame from Papertrey Ink called Bold Borders Flair.

I stamped a sentiment inside the open window and then added this cute little bird. I don't do a lot of multi stamped images so while this card looks CAS it was still a little tricky for me.
