Sow Glad We're Friends

Today I'm playing along at Ellibelle's Corner - Garden Party No. 18 where it's anything in or from a garden. Ok so how many of you out there have a garden gnome? Hand raised here! I've got him tucked in a secret spot so you need to walk around the entire yard to find him!

My card features lots of goodness from Waffle Flower. I started with a green cardstock background topped with a Gingham die cut to look like a white trellis for the garden.

I used a circle die cut to create a focal point and then topped it with the Seed Packet die. The die set includes the layers you see so you can customize the seed packet for the blooms or veggies of your choice. There is a Seed Packet Icons set that includes some of those like the violet I used on my card.

I added a sweet Happy Gnome and a punny sentiment to complete my design.

Rooting For You

Today I'm linking up to Cupcake Inspirations where the theme this time is In The Garden! I am absolutely a gardener! If I'm not crafting you'll find me outside in the garden soaking up the sun!

This is part of the Postage Collage collection from Waffle Flower. I started with the Wavy Lines stencil that I inked with Distress Ink. Next I stamped images on each square with the Garden Silhouettes stamp set. I used Versafine Onyx Black ink. If you don't line it up to the bottom just right, no worries because a sharpie marker matches the color perfectly.

I topped the inky panel with a Postage Collage Blocks frame in peach. I layered that over a panel that I inked in the same colors as the Wavy Lines. I cut that panel with a Piercing Rectangle to add the little dotted detail along the edge.

A subsentiment printed precut label and a few die cut garden tools from the Gardening Add Ons die set is the finishing touch along with a few enamel dots.

You Got This

Sending this one out to anyone who might be going through a hard time today. I know sometimes life is rough but know that you're not going through it alone.

This is the Happy Circles die from Waffle Flower. I cut it with white cardstock. If you look close you'll see that I layered it over a panel of Distress Inked paper in rainbow colors.

But if you look even closer you might notice that there is a background of purple too! This is accomplished by using the coordinating stencil set. I inked the purple first, and then switched stencils to add the rainbow colors.

I topped the panel with a great big sentiment from the Old Friend Sentiment Set. It includes four different sentiments as well as the heart die used on my card.

Planting Smiles

Today I'm playing along at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge where this is the inspiration cupcake for this month!

We're In the Garden!! For those of you who might not know me I am definitely a gardener! When I'm not making in my craft room you'll find me outside (weather permitting and sometimes not!) in the garden!

Waffle Flower Crafts recently had an amazing release of everything garden so I had lots to play with! This is the Garden Backdrop wheelbarrow and fence. The Tomatoes are from Pots and Plants die set that includes violets and tomatoes. You can put the tomatoes vertical for Roma's and horizontal for some Celebrity or Early Girls!

I cut a simple Wavy Border background for a wavy grass background and added some blue cardstock for the sky.

The sentiment is from Green Thumb Sentiments that has lots of garden appropriate sentiments and of course a matching die set.

Sending Seeds of Joy

Today I'm playing along at Just Us Girls Challenge Blog where it's Anything Goes with a Stencil!  I'm also linking up to Time Out Challenge where this time the cue words are Mother Nature.   I think half the fun of planting a garden is the miracle of watching a seed turn into a plant and then watching the flowers turn into fruits and veggies! 

Fun fact about me is that I'm a gardener so I really loved seeing this set from Waffle Flower Crafts! FIrst you cut out the Postage Collage Seeds Die, and then ink it with the coordinating Setncil.

I topped mine with a white Postage Collage Blocks die. I ink this give the stenciled bits a cleaner look because they're framed. It forgives any little line up errors you might have made.

To make it a little fussier I set it over a striped "air mail" background made with the Postage Collage Coloring Stencil and then cut with an A2 Piercing Layers die for that dotted edge that matches some of the cut outs on the base.
