Happy Easter!

Today I'm playing at A Cut Above! I'm mixing two of my favorite things.. die cuts and pattern papers to make a fun shaker card celebrating EASTER!

I started by cutting the Stitched Egg from some floral paper and then putting clear acrylic on the reverse side. Next I added sprinkles on top of the rainbow stripe paper and adhered the floral panel to it. I added a red Stitched Egg inside the open window and then added the sentiment and embellishments.

The bunnies from the Pink & Main Easter Flag stamp set were super easy because I basically left them uncolored. Just a little blush in the cheek and the ears.

The stacked flower is from the Spring Flowers die set that includes LOTS and LOTS of flowers. I just selected two and stacked them.

Penguin Party Shaker

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your January is off to a good start! Did you know that Poppystamps has a monthly challenge? It's a great way to share what you're making and see what others are making. This month's challenge is to add a shaker element to your project!

I'm always looking for a reason to celebrate and this card could cover just about any occasion! I started with the shaker element, cutting the Nordic Lacy Plate from white and pink cardstock. I layered the pink cut over a darker shade of pink, and then cut the opening with the Scalloped Pinpoint Frame. Next I added plastic to it's reverse and then layered it over the white die cut after I loaded it with sprinkles.

Now for the fun part! Embellishing! I die cut and assembled the Fancy Gift die to create a focal point. (Spoiler alert... the Fancy Gift die comes with a smaller package too!) Next I die cut and assembled the Birthday Penguin and Jubilee Penguin and placed them in front of the gift.

A sprinkle of Festive Balloons and a simple Congrats sentiment finish the design!

Potion Bottle Shakers

Halloween is my most favorite holiday of the year! I love that you can be whoever you want if only for a day. For me Halloween has to be spooky but beautiful at the same time. I want the glamor of treats to tempt you to take a second look. I'm joining the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge with this card!

Pretty Pink Posh has done it again! Another fabulous release! The new Potion Bottle Shaker Set is awesome! I cut mine in lots of fun Halloween colors.. purples and greens and filled them with glass beads to shake shake shake!

I embellished the green bottle with dragon wings from the Halloween Bucket Additions and the purple bottle with spider webs from the Halloween Holder Additions.

I love a little sparkle and shine for Halloween - it must be magic after all! So the bottle tops and bands have some glitter paper.

Thinking of You

Today I'm playing along at Freshly Made Sketches where this is the sketch this time!

This one is easy peasy so no excuses! The oval can be changed to any shape and makes the perfect focal point for any card design.

I took a Swirly Foilable panel from Pink and Main, ran it through my laminator with colorful Vintage Pink Cheerfoil. Next I inked the panel with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and then cut an oval in the center.

I used the oval to create a focal point for the Critters with Flowers deer and to double as a shaker.

I deviated from the sketch a bit, adding the sentiment over the oval instead of under the oval, but it seemed to look better at the top to me.
