My Creative Scrapbook Main Kit September 2025

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great day! If you're looking for a great way to treat yourself I hope you consider trying a subscription to one of the My Creative Scrapbook monthly kits. They select the pattern papers and lots of coordinating supplies and deliver it straight to your front door so all you have to focus on is MAKING! Every month they have several kits to choose from.. their Main Kit, LE - Limited Edition, Creative Kit and Album Kit - so you can choose what's right for you!

This time I'm playing with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers and embellishments from Simple Stories "Book Fair" Collection as well as a few others to surprise you. You'll also find die cuts, stickers, chipboard, and lots more! Everything is hand selected with care and perfectly coordinated to work together and shipped directly to your door!
This month we're going back to school with fun paper prints that include schedules, test papers, penmanship lines, paper airplanes, composition notebook cover, fun stripes and lots more.

The images are super cute.. books, calculators, pens, pencils.. all the basic back to school supplies with some stars, clips, and wise owls too!
I arrange the images on clear plastic sheets the size of my card front. This gives me a preview of what the finished card will look like before I commit and adhere everything in place. I can also slide pattern paper under the arrangement to see if my choices work well together.
The kit includes everything you need to make these cards. The only items I added were the card bases, solid cardstock papers, and adhesives. This time my kit included some sequins in red and clear that you'll see scattered throughout my designs.
I'm a card maker, but you can use the kit to document your memories on scrapbook pages too. I think these cards will be great to encourage students and to thank teachers this school year.
I had lots of fun playing with the images and papers and I think you will too. The cards came together quick and I really love that they're delivered straight to my front door so no shopping required. Sometimes it's hard to find all the coordinating elements at one Shoppe.
I invite you to join one of their monthly kit clubs and experience the possibilities that their coordinated kits offer. With plenty of innovative materials and ideas to jump start your imagination, preserving your memories and making cards will be effortless and enjoyable. You can see all of the different kits available this month here at My Creative Scrapbook.

Layle By Mail Summer/Fall Season Pass

Today I'm sharing three cards I made with the Layle By Mail Season Pass. I was first introduced to Layle Konar when I was on the Simple Stories design team. Layle was our coordinator and I was always impressed with her amazing projects!
Layle started her own business and has a quarterly kit called a Season Pass. The kit that includes pretty papers, washi, stickers and stamps! The kit comes in a reusable mesh bag and there are enough die cuts and papers to cover three months of cards!
The Summer / Fall Season Pass is designed to cover July, August, and September iconic images. My cards today feature August. Think back to school, fall leaves, and Summer's last hurrah.
The papers are coordinated to work together so you're not limited with only three sheets for each month. And many of the images are appropriate for all three months like the florals, butterflies, and art supplies.
There's also an optional notebook that you can add to your kit. We like to take road trips and document our stops noting the place we stopped or significant things we've seen and even the cost of gas and food so we can plan future trips. A decorated journal would be welcome on any of our adventures!
Here's all three cards! I'll be sharing another set of three next month, and if you're curious I did post three for July!

You can find Layle by Mail Here! Her shop includes Simple Stories and lots of fun journaling projects that make crafting more enjoyable.
I'm linking up to If You Give A Crafter A Cookie where it's Back To School. I thought these cards would be perfect for the challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Time To Read

It's been cold and rainy here in the Midwest. That means its a good day to stay inside and get lost in a good book. What a sweet escape!
The Pretty Little Studio Well Read collection is everything the book lover in you craves. It's got stacks of books and comfy chairs. Paper prints include type print, floral, stripes and more.

You'll find tabs for all of your favorite categories including Romance, Mystery, Biography and more.
I love that some of the embellishments even include places for you to review the book like the book rating above. Just fill in the stars and include this sweet card with a gift of a book to your favorite reader!
Remember time spent doing what you love is never a waste of time. Crafting and reading are my two favorite ways to escape the stress of everyday, and I love this collection because it brings them both together.

So Many Books So Little Time

I hope you're staying warm comfy cozy! January is always the coldest month of the year for us and it's nice to cozy up with a book while listening to the harsh winds blowing outside the house!
If you're a book lover too you'll want to check out the Pretty Little Studio Well Read Collection. It's fantastic! I love all the little details included in this set from the little kitty on the books to the woodgrain and lined paper prints.

I created a focal point with a frame. I added a large sentiment in the center and then embellished it with stacks of books and stars (for your super star reader) raised with adhesive foam tape.
The clever "historical" tab can be switched out with others in the set including "romance" "fiction" "fantasy" "horror" among many others so you can personalize your card for your readers interests.
Oh and if you're curious about what I'm reading.. It's Boy's Life by Robert R. Mccammon.  Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you find some time to make today!

Book Review

I hope you're having a great day! This time of year when it's cold outside I think about ways to keep busy indoors. When I'm not papercrafting, I'm always happy to settle on a seat by the window and get lost in a great book.
This card starts with patterned paper with rainbows and scallops that remind me of bookshelves. I topped that with a 3x4" Plot Twist journaling card.

I embellished the Book Review card with a great big sentiment and label saying "This Book was..." thinking I'd write "TERRIFIC" in the little label and then gift this card with the book I'm reviewing.
I added a few bright colored sequins to add a little more color to the design, and add a little more color.

I'm always recommending books I love to family and friends. I know this cute little review and the gift of a book will be well received!

You're The Sweetest

Fall is in the air and that means a trip to the Apple Orchard! This card starts with the Pretty Pink Posh Layered Leaf Lattice stencil inked on a panel of pink cardstock.

This set is for those of you who might not like to color. You can definitely stamp the apple outlines and color them as you like, but it’s so convenient to color them with the stamps in the set.
The Patterned Apples stamp set includes three different size apples that you can stamp with solid, stripe, or dot patterns in the set. It also includes two different sized leaves as well as stems that you can also color with coordinating stamps.
I inked my apples in shades of red, green and yellow, die cut them, and then arranged them on the card randomly. Some of the apples are adhered flat to the card while others are raised with adhesive foam tape to add dimension.
I think these apples are fabulous and I know they’ll be great for fall as well as teacher appreciation makes.
I'm linking up to If You Give a Crafter A Cookie Challenge and Sparkles Monthly Challenge where they're looking for fall inspired designs.
