Seashore Hello

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and you'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

I'm typically drawn to the inspiration photo.. the inspiration photo this time is called Beach Tiers and I spy bleached sea shells, wood grain, a splash of blue and some green foliage. If you're not loving the photo, don't forget.. there are three ways to play along!

1. The inspiration photo
2. The sketch
3. Fuse them all together (you clever one!)
It's your choice, but I sure hope that you choose to play!

I've been wanting to break out my new Honey Bee Stamps Seashore die set. The layered shells are so pretty and there's also a seagrass die so I've got the basics covered.

Instead of bleached white shells I opted on a lacy white background topped with colorful shells in shades of coral, blue and purple.  I added some Memory Box Fairy Sugar to the shells for a little added sparkle.

The sentiment is also from Honey Bee and is from their Bitty Buzzwords celebrate set that has 9 word sentiments to choose from as well as a background outline die for each. The seagull is from Impression Obsession's Sea Birds die set.

Fusion Spring Tulips

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and you'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

This time the photo inspiration is called "Spring Tulips". I see a silver bunny pushing a wheel barrow loaded with a cabbage that has hydrangea and tulips tucked inside like a vase! Looks like we're taking a trip to the garden today! I think you could make this Easter or Spring in a snap .. I mean.. that bunny right? Not feeling inspired? That's ok.. you can still play along with the sketch. And if you're feeling clever you can fuse the sketch and the photo together!

I took the inspiration photo quite literally.. cutting lime green hydrangea and tucking some layered tulips inside!

The floral dies are from Honey Bee Stamps. from they're Lovely Layers Collection. The florals are easy to assemble and so pretty!

The background die is from Birch Press Design's Viola Plate Layered set. I used only one of the three dies in the layered set.

TupeloDesignsLLC - Ocean Bliss

Hi! Happy Friday! I hope you're having a great day! I'm having a sweet crafty escape today. It's been getting colder and colder here in the midwest and I guess I'm just not ready to give in to the winter months ahead. That's really what I love about crafting.. I can go anywhere.... to a flower garden, to the beach, camping or to outer space.. it's all just a stamp away LOL!

And what I love about TupeloDesignsLLC store is finding something new like this cute mermaid from HoneyBee Stamps called Ocean Bliss.

I made a simple background of Distress Ink. I made a mask by cutting a sheet of scrap paper in half. I covered the top half of my paper with the scrap and inked the sandy beach, then used the other half of the scrap paper to cover the beach and ink the water (Tumbled Glass). I made a separate wave die and inked in a darker blue distress ink (Salty Ocean). The mermaid was inked with Memento and colored with Copic Markers. I also used Copic markers to add little dots on the rock and sand to add some dimension.

12 Kits of Occasions - Fairy Tales

It's the last day of the month and you know what that means right? It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions! The 12 Kits of Occasions is a group of 12 friends who all love to paper craft. Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group. We all receive the same kit with the same items. On the last day of the month we reveal what we each made with the kit. It's fun to see how we used the product in different ways. Sometimes the projects are similar and sometimes they are very different.

Our hostess this month is Birgit Norton from Crafting While I Wait blog. Birgit's kit was filled with lots of magical things.. faeries, mermaids and a sprinkle of pixie dust! The kit was fantastic and I loved it all.. my only regret this time is that I didn't have enough time to play.
