Waffle Flower June Release Sneak Peek Day 1 - Lighthouse

It's a great day for a visit because today is the first day of sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower release that we're calling Hello Sunshine!

The Waffle Flower June 2025 Release is a coastal-themed collection featuring 4 stamps, 15 dies, and 4 stencils! Besides the adorable new Postage Collage stencil, other highlights include:

• Black versions of Grip Mats in the 3 most popular sizes
• Nesting piercing dies in Circles, Ovals, Squares, and Ticket Frames
• Pirate Add-ons (die, stamp) that work with the Inquisitive Seagulls (die)
• Two-step Mixed Stripes (stencil) that is a true 1+1 > 2 design
• Unique sentiments (stamp) for your coastal-themed cards

My card today features the new Coastline and Lighthouse die sets. The coastline die includes the big wave, solid dark blue cut as well as the highlighted wave accents that I double cut in shades of ocean blue.

The lighthouse die is easy to assemble because it includes an outline die that you adhere the smaller cut pieces to. It even includes the ray of light coming from the lighthouse. I added the nested hearts at the end of the light ray to pair with the "love" sentiment.

The sentiment is from the new Coastal Greetings sentiment set. It has lots of wonderful sentiments and the coordinating die set adds a pierced detail to the outline of the cut.

My Creative Scrapbook May Main Kit

It's that time of year! The kids are out of school and the weather is perfect for a road trip. Maybe you love to camp, or are dreaming of a trip overseas. Whatever your wanderlust this kit has you covered!

The colors in the collection are bright and bold - think blue skies, green grass and colorful florals. My mind goes to the basic 8 pack of crayons or watercolors. The prints are plaid, stripe, and prints of scooters, geotags, maps and more.

The kit includes everything you need to make these cards. The only items I added were the card bases, solid cardstock papers, adhesives, and enamel dots and some number printed washi from my stash. You can incorporate you own favorite gems or sequins to add more sparkle to the designs.

This kit has lots of embellishments! I coat the stickers and adhesive chipboard pieces with baby powder to turn them into die cuts that I can move around without worrying about sticking them in the wrong place by accident. When I'm ready I adhere them with liquid adhesive.

I arrange the images on clear plastic sheets the size of my card front. This gives me a preview of what the finished card will look like before I commit and adhere everything in place. I can also slide pattern paper under the arrangement to see if my choices work well together.

I had lots of fun arranging the papers and elements. A simple trick to layers is to try to break up the patterns with solids, or to stack dark over light.

Still Making Waves

Can you believe it's Monday? Wow the weekend went fast! I hope you had fun! We went out for dinner on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday. I baked peanut butter cookies, and did lots of laundry! At least I'm starting the week with my to do list a little shorter.

Today I'm playing along at Cupcake Inspirations where this time they're asking how do you relax! I'll be honest.. my favorite way to relax is making, but sometimes you have to turn it all off and walk away from the computer, the cell phone and the craft room too!

My card today has me thinking of vacation. We usually go to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina once a year. We missed going last year, and this year is out of the question so I'm going to have to dream about it from home.

I tried to create a panel that looked like the waves meeting the sand on the beach. I Distress Ink and splattered a tan piece of white cardstock to look like sand, and used a Sea Foam stencil from Waffle Flower to look like water. I added Glossy Accents and glitter where the torn edges meet.

I stamped a birthday sentiment on the sandy panel from the Beach Days stamps set. I added strip sentiment from the Inquisitive Seagulls stamp set.

A Sea Snail Die N Stencil takes center stage. I added a few pieces of greenery from the Layered Daisy to look like seaweed.

Pink & Main October Release and Instagram Hop Giveaway!

It’s time for the Pink & Main October release and this month we are getting a little WILD! This animal-inspired release has a little something for everyone, from stamps and dies to CheerFoil and Foilables!

My cards always start the same way.. I arrange images on a piece of clear plastic the same size as my card base. I arrange the images until I'm happy and then get to work on the background. The clear sheet makes it easy to slide different papers underneath to get a preview of the finished design.

I used the new Great Outdoors patterned paper pack and cut wavy hills with the Waves and Scallops set. Stitched Circles become a sun and cloudy sky paper is from the Happy Days paper pack.

I added Little Tree die cuts and some sparkly enamel dots for a little shine.
