Cherry Sweet

Today I'm playing at Shopping Our Stash were this time it's You Are So Sweet! Shop Your Stash Challenge encourages you to use products that you might already have on hand. It's smart to use what you have especially hen you're on a budget.

My card starts with Lattice Background panel that I cut from white cardstock and layered over a pink panel. I topped it with some Scalloped Circles that I stacked in darker shades of pink cardstock.

I stamped the center circle with a sentiment from the Sweet Cherries stamp set. The images are clean line designs and are very easy to color and then cut with the coordinating die set.

The finishing touch was a sprinkle of flowers that I left uncolored and a few Watermelon jewels!

Pink & Main Instagram Hop and Giveaway!

It's a great day for a visit because today we're celebrating the latest Pink & Main release with an Instagram hop!

Bugs and berries are the central theme of our May release - and boy is it CUTE! There are ladybugs galore, and the freshest strawberries to kick off your summer crafting. With this release we've added another interactive die set to our line - the Berry Pop Up Card Dies create a darling little basket of strawberries. We've also added new Spring and Summer Home Add Ons to our Home Sweet Home house die set, with the cutest bunting to make July 4th cards & projects. And of course there's our monthly mouse - for May, he's got a birdhouse and a few feathered friends! Our release is full of fantastic new stamps, dies, embossing folders, CheerFoil, Foilables, patterned paper, and embellishments!

My card features the new Bugs and Berries stamp set on a simple Distress Oxide background.

The clean line images were easy to color and I had fun making a little scene with the images. The strawberries and flowers are just yummy and the little lady bugs couldn't be cuter!

I stamped the sentiment directly on the background. Some of the images are raised.. like the basket so I could tuck the leaves and ladybug underneath. This adds dimension and detail to the design.

Waffle Flower May Release Sneak Peeks Day 3 - Quilted Hugs

It's Day 3 of the Waffle Flower New Release Sneak Peeks. The release will be available in the store TOMORROW! Today we're sharing peeks of the new Quilted Hugs die - that's the one in the background on my card today.

The Quilted Hugs die coordinates with a stencil set so you can ink it in your favorite colors to create a patchwork quilt on paper. I added shades of green and aqua blue on mine.

I topped the stenciled design with a die cut Quilted Frame and an Inside/Outside Scalloped Circle. This creates a focal point for the new Fabric Lover Die N Stencil kitty!

To soften the background behind the cat I added a piece of vellum. This makes the kitty stencil brighter than the muted background.

Just Us Girls Challenge #767 Mood Board Week

Lucky me! I'm guest designer this month at Just Us Girls Challenge! They always have beautiful inspiration, fun challenges and a terrific design team! The challenge this week is this beautiful inspiration mood board!

I spy a bunny, lamb, butterfly, florals, a heart and lots of GREEN! It's all about SPRING!

I thought I'd play with some Altenew today! I love their gorgeous layered realistic florals. These are the Build a Tulip. I cut the dies in shades of green with a touch of white.

I don't typically do monochrome designs, so it was a challenge for me to keep the background green. To get the most contrast I chose a different shade of very light green - it's more pistachio than lime.

I added a sprinkle of gold gems and a gold glitter die cut sentiment to add a bit of sparkle to the design.

My Creative Scrapbook January 2025 Main Kit

This time I'm working with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers from Simple Stories "Front Porch" and Bo Bunny "Once Upon A Lifetime" 12" Collections, and loads of embellishments including die cuts from chipboard, stickers, a Thickers alphabet set, a big die cut sentiment, and a stamp set too!

I love the mix of colors and prints in this set. Every month the kit is different but rest assured that each pack is hand selected to coordinate all of the elements and embellishments beautifully.

This time the theme is HOME - our favorite happy place. The embellishments include familiar household objects.. stacks of books, coffee cups, rocking chairs and OH MY!! the most beautiful florals ever!

 

My favorite pieces in this set are all of the little birds! They're perfect for perching here and there, and being a bird watcher - just make me so happy!

The kit includes lots of sentiments too - I like using the strip sentiments on the 12" sticker sheet. The same sheet also has a few 12" border stickers. I add baby powder to the back of the stickers so I can cut them to size or move them around without damaging them and accidentally sticking them in place.

The it includes everything you need to make these cards. The only items I added were the card bases, solid cardstock papers, adhesives, and enamel dots from my stash. You can incorporate you own favorite gems or sequins to add more sparkle to the designs.

It was fun mixing and matching papers and creating layouts with this kit and I look forward to making with it every month! I had lots left over paper and embellishments when I was done so I can make some tags and embellish my day planner too!

Waffle Flower January Release Sneak Peek Day 3

It's Day 3 of sneak peeks of the Waffle Flower new January release! The products will all be available TOMORROW when we'll be celebrating with some prizes on Instagram! Today we're sharing projects featuring the new Feather Pen Die-n-Stencil set.

I cut the Feather Pen die from soft pink cardstock and then inked it in darker shades using the coordinating stencil set. The finishing touch is the nib of the quill and the die that adds the ribbing to the nib.

Did you spot the new background? This is the new Bookshelf Panel Die. It coordinates with the Bookshelf Panel Coloring Stencil. I cut the die with light blue cardstock and then added some color to every other book with a darker shade of ink. I finished it off with the detail stencil and some gold embossing paste.

To add even more gold I layered the background on gold glitter paper, teal cardstock and then finally the card base. The sentiment is from the Love Thanks stamp set.
