Howdy!

Well howdy friend! I hope you're having a great day! Today I'm playing along at The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog where they're looking for projects that are "Down on the Farm". I thought this sweet horse might be just right.
I started with the Fallish Borders from the Ink Blot Shop. stamped the image on white card stock and then colored the flowers and sun with Copic markers. I created a mask for the sun and then added distress ink softly along the edges of the design, getting as close to the flowers as I could.
I held my hand over the center of the design when I added a splatter of water and some watered down ink so that no splatters would hit the flowers.
Finally I cut the horse by hand and adhered it with adhesive foam tape for a little dimension. I want to call it a her because of those long eyelashes!
Gotta love those sunflowers in the fall.. they're one of the last ones to stay around here in the Midwest and even after they bloom I love to see the birds hanging upside down picking out the seeds. Enjoy the little things and have a great day!

Ink Blot Shop - Old Mac Donald

Hi friends! Are you looking for a card challenge to play? A new one starts today at Fusion Card Challenge! You'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!
I'm a visual person so I'm always drawn to the photo. Check out the farm animal planters! I see a moo cow, a piggy - ON ROLLERS! and a rooster too! I spy some green shutters, wood palates and lots of greenery. If you're not feeling the photo or the colors, that's ok.. you can play along with the sketch!
I'm playing along with the new Ink Blot Shop Farm Friends Stamp Set.
My card starts with the Landscape Borders tree line. I colored the trees, sky and sun with Copic markers. I added a piece of masking and inked the grass with distress ink.
All of the farm images are fussy cut and attached to the finished card base. I stamped the sentiments and a little "Moo" directly on the background.
Now it's your turn! Now it's your turn! Are you ready to play? I wonder how you will interpret the photo! Maybe you need a little more inspiration? Check out designs from the rest of the team. Just click on their names below to jump to their blogs.

Ink Blot Shop Little Something

I told you'd I'd be sharing more of the Ink Blot Shop September release! There are new Landscape and Fallish Borders, Farm Animals and Teacher Greetings in the shop! You'll want to check out all the NEW!
Fall means back to school time.. and whether your little one is learning from home or actually attending class it's so important to let teacher know how much they are appreciated!
I stamped a background of apples and pencils with purple ink on purple paper - I wanted to match the color on the Little Something girl's dress.
I topped the panel with an oval die cut from white card stock to break up the pattern and focus your attention on the Copic colored Little Something kids.
I'm linking this card to Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge where this month they're looking for Fall and Halloween cards for Kids. I hope you find some time to play along!

Ink Blot Shop Teacher Greetings

Are the kids back in school? I know that every time I ask that I'll get a different answer. The world has really changed hasn't it? Regardless of whether your kids are learning from home or are attending in class you'll want to let their teacher know how much they are needed and appreciated.
The new Ink Blot Shop September release includes a new Teacher Greetings stamp set. I created a stamped sentiment background in rainbow colors. My Misti stamping tool made lining up the sentiment a breeze.
I topped the stamped sentiment with one of the kids from the A Little Something stamp set. There are lots of different kids to choose from so you can personalize your design to look like your favorite student!
The new release includes some background borders and some Farm Friends that you're going to adore! I'll show you more tomorrow!

CASology - Peace On Earth

I'm playing along with CASology today.. and probably not a minute too soon! It seems like this week is going faster than normal! Maybe that's because things are taking longer than usual? A trip to the UPS Store to drop off a package took 45 minutes, and a quick run to the store for the one thing I forgot had me feeling like a salmon swimming up stream!
But for the most part I think everyone was very patient and kind about the inconvenience. I haven't run into anyone about to blow!  Thank goodness!

The cue word this week KINDNESS got me thinking about how a change of attitude can make a huge difference. A simple kindness like holding the door for the person behind me, or saying "thank you - I appreciate you" can bring out the best in each of us.
Wouldn't the world be a perfect place if we could all do our part?
I'm playing with a new stamp set from the Ink Blot Shop called Peace on Earth. It's got this great Earth image as well as some veggies.. for PEAS on Earth - so weather I'm feeling straight or silly I'm covered!
And a big thanks to you for visiting my blog! I hope that I can make you smile the same way that you make me smile!

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge - Rainbow Stretched Holiday Sentiments

Happy Monday! I've been running around all morning - that's my usual Monday thing. Time to plan out the meals for the week and buy everything I need to get me to next Monday! After getting the car unpacked and loading up the washer and dryer it's time for a little break! Today I'm playing along with the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge!
I love the rainbow of colors on these pretty ornaments! Here's what I made!
I'm playing with the Ink Blot Shop Stretched Holiday Sentiments stamps set from Tifany DeGough. The set has several sentiments like "peace" "noel" "joy" "jingle" and "merry" that will fit your A2 size card horizontally. This is a new company for me - you can check them out here! I think you'll be glad you did!
I stamped the word "merry" in several different colors of ink and then created a color block background from the same colors of card stock. Some shiny enamel dots are the finishing touch for a little Christmas shine!

Ready to play along? You can get all the details here at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge!
