Tag You're It - Happy Thanksgiving

A new challenge begins today at Tag You're It Challenge.  I love a tag because it's small and usually much easier to make than a card.  It's also nice to have a bunch on hand - especially this time of year when you're gifting goodies.   They really dress up a package!

This time our guest is Rubeena Naz!  Isn't her tag scrumptious?  Lots of ways you can spin this tag - cake, birthday, colors, layout., etc.  I'm really feeling fall here in the Midwest so decided to go with a Thanksgiving themed tag.

I followed the same design as Ruby, I stamped an image in the lower  right corner of the tag.  I made sure some of the image was cut off the edges, and I repeated the sparkle and shine on the sample.  I added a second tag in gold foil, some Twinery Gold Shimmer Twine, and a sprinkle of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I used the same shape tag as the inspiration (I used the Stitched Duo One die from Pretty Pink Posh) - I love the stitched details!

Pretty Pink Posh / Altenew Holiday Collaboration Blog Hop!

Are you hopping with us today? Pretty Pink Posh has joined up with Altenew for an amazing holiday blog hop! Between the two companies they're giving away over $200 in prizes and there's also a special discount for everyone! If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Therese Calvird's blog. If you want to start from the beginning and get all the details you can find them here at the Pretty Pink Posh Blog or Altenew blogs!

I think this is a match made in heaven! Who doesn't love Altenew's beautiful stamps AND Pretty Pink Posh stitched dies and yummy sequins?

I'm using the Altenew "Poinsettia and Pine" stamp set with coordinating dies.  I inked the images with Memento and colored them with Copic Markers.  The open line designs were easy to color, and the dies made them a breeze to cut out.

I created a shaker card using the Pretty Pink Posh Storybook 4 die.  If you look close you'll see I cut the die in pink and adhered the stitched die cut boxes inside the shaker window.   I added a Scallop Frame to the top of the Storybook cut out.  I love how the stitched pattern is repeated. The sequins are a brand new mix called Holiday Shimmer - it's got pinks and greens and even some snowflake shapes!
The sentiment is from the new Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Greetings Set that you'll receive FREE with your purchase of $100 or more at Pretty Pink Posh (through 101-31-16).

But don't go yet.. there's lots more to see! The next stop on this hop is the amazing Yoonsun Hur - I swear I love everything she does! Make sure you leave comments as you go because there's some candy to be had too!

Muse: Christmas Visions - Lavinia Snowflake Ornament

I'm so excited to share today that I'm a Guest Designer for Muse Christmas Visions Challenge!   I love the holidays and could make holiday cards all year round!  I'm usually leaning toward layered cards, but  let's be hones.. there is nothing I like more at Holiday time than a flat CAS card!  I do not want to go to the post office and wait in line to get my envelopes weighed.  Yes I can be lazy like that! LOL!

So if you're like me I think you'll want to play along this week.  This card was really easy to make.

I started with a simple color block panel.  I love pink and red together for Christmas!  I decided to make an ombre panel from light pink to red covering as many shades I could in between.

Next I layered on die cuts in white - a pretty ornament, simple sentiment and a few scattered snowflakes.  I didn't even bother to knock the pieces out of the loops in the letters.

I need a little sparkle for the holidays so I added a few gems to the snowflake centers.

This card is very low profile and you could make a bunch in no time flat!

I hope you'll play along too because we've got a nice prize up for grabs!  How about a gift certificate from Poppystamps?  They're the creator of all the pretty dies I used!  I'd sure love to see you win!   You can get all the details here at Muse Christmas Visions!
