Crafty Secrets Snow Play

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are getting everything in order for a rocking new year!  I did some heavy duty grocery shopping so I'm ready for just about anything that might come my way - including unexpected visitors.  It wouldn't be new years without lots of snacks and bubbly drinks.

I'm the guest designer this month at Crafty Secrets, so every Monday in December I will have a new project to share.   This is my final week playing along with the Crafty Secrets design team.    I love their vintage images and unique designs.  Recently I rediscovered them and found that most of their designs are digital. I am guessing that most of you are like me and have only dabbled a little with digital designs.   You can purchase single images of  Crafty Secrets designs or entire discs.  The discs are really amazing - everything you need to create a card is at your fingertips - digital paper, sentiments, embellishments, frames - it's all there.  There are even 3-D projects on the disc for gift boxes/bags and place cards for your holiday dinner table.
If you have an electronic cutter - I used the Silhouette Cameo - the designs are easy to import to your library and manipulate. You can also use other software that will allow you to manipulate photo files like Photoshop.   I have to say it was really nice to have everything perfectly coordinated in one place.  The pattern paper and all the images are color and theme matched to work together - you just print what you need, die cut and assemble.   too small for other projects.

    Crafty Secret Angel Ornaments

    Crafty Secrets Madonna and Child

I'm the guest designer this month at Crafty Secrets, so every Monday in December I will have a new project to share.

I wanted to add lots of gold to this one so I layered the Madonna Image on gold foil, and trimmed the foliage die cuts with a metallic gold pen.  The foliage was cut from a music print paper that I printed off the disc.
For this Madonna and child card I used the same disc as last time (Vintage Christmas #6) when my project featured a vintage Santa image.  With over 150 images there is lots of variety including religious images, angels, Santa's, and nature (birds and foliage).  Check out what the rest of the design team has for you today!  Just click on their names below!

    Guest Designing for Crafty Secrets

Great news!  I'm the guest designer this month at Crafty Secrets.    Before I started blogging I bought most of my supplies at the local craft stores and found my first Crafty Secrets stamps.  I was drawn in by their vintage images and unique designs.

The pattern paper and all the images are made to work together - you just print what you need, die cut and assemble.   The hardest part for me was deciding what size to print the images.  I saved the extras I printed up that were too big or too small for other projects.
Every  Monday this month I'll have some Crafty Secrets goodness to show you.   Here's a list of the ladies that do it every week all year round - the Crafty Secrets design team.  I hope you will see what they've been up to - some shabby chic goodness is awaiting you here!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #97- Bird Song

Hi!  I  hope everyone is having a great day.  I'm  doing well!  I wanted to go for a walk today but it is cold and rainy here.  Maybe it will clear up by tonight and me and the pup can get a few miles in!  The fall weather presents another challenge taking photo's because the house is so dark.  I think I'm going to put a few lamps on my Christmas list!

This is the challenge at Stampin' Royalty this week.   The circles grabbed me immediately and I thought I'd try a technique I'd seen on line but never tried.  I embossed the circles on to some plain white card stock.  Then I masked off the circles and stamped the background with Pic Nic Patterns from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  Lastly I went back and stamped the images in the circles and colored them in with some Copic markers.  I sprinkled a few buttons to mimic the spools of thread in the challenge photo.

If you'd like to play along this week you can get all the details here:  http://stampinroyalty.blogspot.com/2011/11/stampin-royalty-challenge-97.html

    Thanks for stopping by!
