Waffle Flower September Release Sneak Peeks Day 2

It's Day TWO of the countdown to the release of the latest from Waffle Flower. We're calling this release Stenciled Stories because there are lots of stenciled images that create focal points for your projects in this release!

Today I'm sharing a sneak peek of the new Open Book Trio die set! These cute little book dies get inked with coordinating stencils or you can stamp them with your own stamp images. There's even little embossed pages that you can insert when you cut the die or remove.

I wanted a background that coordinated with the photos inside the books and imagined myself in a forest looking through a field guide so the older Woodgrain Die and Dainty Ferns seemed like a perfect fit.

The light green background adds even more texture with the Rhombus Texture Die that you can top with the Rhombus Panel die that has a detailed diamond cut if you like.

The Open Book Trio Sentiments Stamp Set make it easy to add a little script to your pages or a sweet greeting.

Waffle Flower September Release Sneak Peek Day One

It's a great day for a visit because today the sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower Crafts release begins. September 2-4 we'll be sharing peeks and the products become available in the store on September 5! We're calling this release Stenciled Stories because there are lots of images to create using just stencils!

My card today has lots of layers starting with the new Rhombus Panel background. There's also a Rhombus TEXTURE die that you can layer under that for even more detail. I topped that with an A2 Piercing Layer that I inked with a striped stencil design from the new Nesting Postage Blocks.

The new Nesting Postage Collage Die Set includes the big rectangle, circle and small rectangle postage stamp shapes.

They coordinate with stencil sets like the Nesting Postage Mush Love that I used or the new Let It Snow or Party Bear stencil sets. The stencil sets include images for each of the three postage stamp shapes.

Yes there are coordinating stamps that fit exactly inside that smaller rectangle called Nesting Postage Greetings.

Autumn Elf

Hi Friends! I hope you're having a great day! I wanted to start my post to remind you to join the Poppystamps monthly challenge. This month our theme is "Leaves are Falling - Autumn is Calling". Playing along is a great way to let us see what you and others make, and by linking up your design you are automatically entered to win the $20 giveaway prize we offer every month.

Die cuts will always be my favorite! And one of my favorite things is multi-purposing so I can get the most out of the supplies I have. Today I'm playing with the Nordic Joyful Elf who is intended for Christmas. Simply by changing the colors and setting he's now an Autumn Elf!

 

My cards usually start the same way. I arrange the images on apiece of plastic the same size as my card base. The clear plastic allows me to arrange before committing and adhering things in place. The clear plastic lets me slide different backgrounds underneath so I can decide what colors I like best.

My elf is standing on Forest Stump and is having fun in the forest on a perfect fall day. Nordic Oak and Nordic Maple Leaves are scattered about as well as some mushrooms and Mini Forest Plants foliage.

The background was created by blending Distress Oxide ink. It's a creamy pigment ink that blends easier than dye ink. A preprinted sentiment from Memory Box in gold foil finishes the design.

Autumn Sunflowers

Gosh I'm missing my flower garden about now! And the color of the sky? Ugh.. Grey! Today is cold and rainy and my mind is taking a detour to a field of sunny yellow flowers and bees buzzing!

This card is so fund and easy to make. The flowers are actually a cutout die the size of an A2 card. And guess what? You color it with a stencil! So just cut the large die from white cardstock and then ink it with the coordinating stencil set and your just about done!

I layered my flowers over a Quilted Texture background die in soft blue. I added a slightly darker blue matt of cardstock under that. I like the texture that adds lots of depth. The flowers are adhered with adhesive foam tape so they're popped up off the blue panel.

An Oversized Autumn word die takes center stage and is paired with a Subsentiments pre printed die cut labelmaker type sentiment.

Today demonstrates my favorite part of crafting. When life throws me inclement weather I can go anywhere I like. I just need to imagine it! Hugs!

Grateful For You

Hi Ya'll! I hope you're having a great day. I'm staying home today warm and toasty as it's cold and rainy outdoors. I still walked Miss Moriko but I'm still a little chilled!

Today I'm playing at The Card Concept where this is the theme this time. You can be inspired by the photo, theme or colors!  I'm inspired by that fabulous tablescape and all the iconic fall images.

Fall is my favorite time of year because there's so much going on for me. There are lots of family birthdays and anniversaries, and don't forget THANKSGIVING!

Today I'm playing with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Harvest Stencil. I inked it on an A2 Postal Collage die cut. The images are awesome - pie, turkey, a sunflower, pumpkins and corn too!

I topped the inked panel with an Autumn Word Die and a subsentiments preprinted die cut labelmaker type sentiment.

To add even more color I layered the collage on an inked striped air mail background made with the Postal Collage Coloring Stencil.

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it ! I hope you're making plans to be with family and feeling blessed!
