Today I'm playing along at Crazy is Our Fame, Stencils are Our Game card challenge where it's always Anything Goes with Stencils and a twist of Winter Theme. I'm still working on my stencil skills. I love playing here so I can challenge myself to get better!
I love when a company starts with a product - like the Waffle Flower Open Book, or Postage Collage Series just as examples and then continues to add new products that work together with it. So if you have this Open Book Die, you'll find that there are different stencil designs to ink the pages.
I cut the book from red cardstock and then cut it again from white cardstock, snipped off the edges and set it inside the red open book. The stencil was inked on a panel of white cardstock and then cut with the pages dies in the set. I adhered them with adhesive foam tape so they're popped up just a bit to add some dimension to the design.
The background - is called Happy Waves and is meant to look lie water. I thought it was a fun addition to this card, but again, not it's original purpose. The finishing touch is a few sprigs of greenery and berries peeking out from under the book.
