Today we are previewing designs using the new bunny die. This sweet bunny is cut with a fun flower pattern. There is also lots of detailed etching on the body to make the features more prominent. Check out the flowers - they are made with little egg shaped die cuts - and the tail looks like an etched leaf.
Bunnies always make me think of Spring and the garden. I'm always shooing one of them out of my garden in the summer. I'll be honest - most of the time they scare the heck out of me! I will be watering the garden and one will just jump out of no where to flee for safety. The next thing I know binker is in hot pursuit chasing it across the yard! Don't worry - he always makes it in time to slip under the gate to safety!
So when I made my card I knew I wanted to surround him with a background of flowers. To fill the die cut holes I cut him first in light blue, popped out all the die cut holes and then placed tape on the back of the die to fill all the holes. I cut the bunny a second time in yellow, placed the yellow cut over the blue one and then just pushed the cut outs down into the sticky holes.

Love the happy spring banner die- I think it coordinates well with the bunny and the ovals dies. I also like the vintage floral paper in the background.

Great card. Thanks for sharing how you got all the little yellow pieces in the correct spot.
What a pretty card with great spring colors! You make so many colors and textures work together!
How appropriate to have a bunny blog hop post! He's lovely - I'm a fan of your technique to insert different coloured cut-outs into the main die image too. Spring will soon be here - Yay!
Cute and clever all at the same time...sweet little bunny...I laughed thinking of you being afraid of a cute little rabbit! Great tip on how to fill in the little holes with a contrasting color. I am always messing them up with glue!
Lovely card and the sweetest bunny. Thank you for a fun Blog Hop. Hugs, Antoinette T
