Monkey Around - One Layout Two Looks

I love making cards for friends and family, but my favorite cards to make are for the kiddos. I can use lots of bright happy colors and the sillier the better. Seeing the delight on their faces is absolutely contagious.
I'm playing with the silly monkeys from Party Animals. They're headed to the party with lots of balloons! One is hanging on the back of the other sharing a ride.
I layered the Split Circle Cover Panel over card stock I inked with a rainbow of distress ink. A Stitched Note Frame with a soft vellum backer lets the color peek through but softens it enough to keep all the attention on the monkeys. A tiny sentiment strip from Word Up fits perfectly on the Stitched Note Frame.
I switched things up a little to take the same scene and make it more feminine. The rainbow background has been replaced with a pink lemonade color scheme.
The rounded openings of the Leaf Lattice cover panel are more feminine.
A little bow from Forever Friends and balloons in pink and yellow makes this all girl.
With only a few changes in the color scheme, and the addition of a few accents takes this "For the Boys" to "Princess Party". Try switching out some of your favorite layouts for fabulous results and custom made designs for every occasion.

  1. These are too cute!! Love the bright backgrounds. I also like how you made a girly card with pinks and a CUTE bow on the monkey, and a more masculine version with RBG color. GREAT design!!
