Pretty Pink Posh & Avery Elle Blog Hop!

Oh Happy Day! Pretty Pink Posh and Avery Elle are having a 2 day blog hop featuring designs from both teams - and some great prizes too! I felt so lucky to be able to choose a set of stamps from Avery Elle - one of my favorite brands!!!  I'm feeling the summer vibe lately and chose The Reef set!  

I started by painting stripes in purple on a panel of watercolor paper.  I used Peerless watercolors and Canson XL paper.    

The panel on the inside of the frame was colored with distress ink.  I die cut the cover panel with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Elle-Ments.  I think the stitches on border compliment the stitches on the Pretty PInk Posh Scallop Oval Die.

I wanted my shaker to have an underwater look so I added lots of 4m, 6mm Sparkling Clear Sequins and Sparkling Clear Seed Beads.  

I made a cute tag with the same theme to share today! I'm calling this a faux shaker because it has layers like a window, but I didn't want all that dimension on a tag. I cut the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 Tag from kraft card stock - once with the windows and once without. (This die is really versatile! I layered some coral and a die cut lobster between the two layers.

I embellished it with starfish coral and shells and a good sprinkle of Sparkling Clear Sequins so it looks like it was just plucked from the ocean!
