Welcome Back To School

I love the "If You Give A Crafter A Cookie" Challenge. Not only is the inspiration yummy ever challenge - it always makes me want to either bake or eat.. but I love the clever inspiration. This time they're looking for...

So break out the backpacks, lunchboxes and of course all the supplies that make going back to school more bearable. I seriously couldn't wait to get my hands on that a new pack of crayons or makers. Most of the time the teacher would collect them all and only bring them out at art time..so hard to be patient!

These Waffle Flower Back to School kitties are super cute! I love that they have little back packs and that the set includes some cute accessories like the chalk board.

I had fun coloring the kitties - especially the calico cat that reminds me of an old friend - Psyche. I had a black and white cat once too - Panda.. but I'm always afraid that I will loose the face if I go too dark with the markers.

The background is the Micro Grid 1 Panel layered over an ombre orange distress ink panel. I like the grids with the school theme because it looks a little tech to me.

The sentiment is stamped on a blue cardstock circle. I like the orange and blue together. The double circle adds a little whimsy along with the blue enamel dots.

My kiddos are grown.. so no back to school here.. but for all of you with some little ones - your own or your grand children.. I wish them a safe and happy year filled with lots of accomplishments!
