Momenta Spring Bird Thank You

Thanks for stopping by! I've got LOTS of inspiration to share this week so check back if you can! Today I'm sharing a spring card made with the Momenta Branch/Heart/Bird die set. 

Spring always makes me think of birds because I can hear them singing in the morning again - something I miss in the winter months.

I started this card by inking a panel with distress ink in Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron. I embossed the panel with the Momenta You're Invited floral wreath and then sanded it to reveal the white card stock under the ink. I stamped the sentiment directly on the panel. The You're Invited set includes an embossing folder AND stamps! 

Next I die cut the branches and birds. I arranged them on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card front before committing and adhering them to the inky panel.

I adhered solid card stock behind the intricate cut birds so a second layer of color is visible through the openings. For a bit of fun I added silly eyes to the birds. And YES! the flower die cuts are also included in the set.

The 12 Kits of Occasions - For The Graduate

It's the last day of the month and you know what that means right? It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions! The 12 Kits of Occasions is a group of 12 friends who all love to paper craft. Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group. We all receive the same kit with the same items. On the last day of the month we reveal what we each made with the kit. It's fun to see how we used the product in different ways. Sometimes the projects are similar and sometimes they are very different.

Our Hostess this month is Kara Lynne from Bright Hope Creations and our theme is For The Graduate. What a wonderful kit! Rainbow colored papers from Lawn Fawn, stamped images from WPlus9, My Favorite Things and Stamping Bella. Lots of die cuts too in (swoon) gold and glossy black!

I used just about EVERYTHING in this kit with the exception of the number die cuts so (so I can use them for any year).

I can't believe I made SEVEN cards! Here goes!

Tag You're It - Selective Coloring Challenge

A new challenge begins today at Tag You're It Challenge! We've got a Selective Coloring Challenge for you and wow is this beautiful!

What an amazing pop of color.. a monochrome black and white image with a single colored leaf in the center. I've seen other's do this technique with stamping, but have never tried it myself. I'm just wowed with the results!

I stamped the Altenew Beautiful Lady floral on a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 3 tag. This stamp set is on sale at Altenew for 45% off! I selected only a few of the flowers to color and left the remaining in monochrome black and white.

The tag is cut twice.. one with the colored image and once from grey card stock. I trimmed the floral part to expose the top of the tag so the grey is exposed when they're stacked.

Here's what I made..

I'm just not ready to put away the bunnies! My son cut the grass for the first time this year and found a few rabbit nests dug in. He was sure to stay clear and I'm going to keep an eye out to see if I can spot them as they grow! That inspired me to make this card. This cute girl is from Reverse Confetti's Hippity Hoppity.

I like the little accessories in the set like the butterflies and little bow. The jewels are from Pretty Pink Posh and pretty much everything winds up with a few! LOL!
