Fusion Card ChallengeWelcome Little One

I love playing challenges. It's a great way to get inspiration and see what's trending in the crafty community. One of my favorite places to play is Fusion Card Challenge. I love the versatility they provide every challenge. You can play along with the sketch OR the inspiration photo. If you're feeling clever you can FUSE the two together like I did this time.

Here's the newest challenge that begins today - looks like it's all about baby! I see pink and green and some pretty flowers too! 

I did some searching through my stamps for Baby.. not too many here! I spotted this cute koala from Reverse Confetti Bear Hugs and knew that was the one for me!

Sketch challenges are a fun way to work on my paper layering skills. The sketch this time told me I needed three different papers. I grabbed a pack that included pinks and greens (like the sketch) and found three that looked great together. I put the busy pattern in the back and topped it with the more solid ones to focus attention on the cute Koala.

The Koala is stamped with Memento Tuxedo black and colored with Copic Markers. I cut extra flowers to sprinkle instead of sequins and even added one in her hair. 

I colored the koala a blue violet to match the pattern paper so I repeated the color in the Flowers for Mom zig zag circle and the background matt.
