Tupelo Designs LLC - Dream

Happy Friday!  Where did the week go?    I think all the extra snow dumped on us early in the week made things more rushed.  You know.. worrying about traffic, shoveling, and making sure we had everything we needed in the house in case it was as bad as the weatherman said it would be.  Fortunately the streets and sidewalks are clear and they're calling for a nice weekend!   Maybe you have some St. Patrick's day festivities planned?

I'm posting today for Tupelo Designs LLC.  This is my favorite store.  I love that I can find lots of my favorite brands all under one roof, and that I can mix and match products including the latest releases.  The best part of all is that shipping is free - every day - no coupon required. (USA Only)  Better than that?  They have a loyalty program that means that dollars you spend turn into dollars off your next order.

I know lately there have been lots of back orders.. I have a few myself... .like what?  Well .. I HAD TO HAVE all the new Distress Oxide inks.  I ordered them about a month ago and am anxiously awaiting them.  I know if Dan had them in the store they'd be on their way to me.   Trying to be patient.

Since I'm waiting for my Distress Oxide inks, I thought I'd play with my "regular" Distress Inks.  They'll still be one of my go to's - nothing can change that!
I selected only a few images from the Altenew Happy Dreams stamp set (there are lots to choose from in this set - I'm working with the two foliage branches).  I arranged them on a panel of watercolor paper inside the Stamp Perfect Tool, inked them with distress ink and then spritzed them with water before stamping the images.    I'm really happy with the Stamp Perfect tool.   It looks almost identical to the other brand (I have them both) it's the same heavy duty quality at a much lower price.
I inked the upper images with Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint Distress ink.  The next layer of branches is Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn.  Then Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass.. Tumbled Glass and Sapphire.  And lastly Sapphire and Wilted Violet.  I like using the stamping tool for this so I can close the cover and let the water soaked images sit on the watercolor paper and soak in for a minute or so before removing the stamp.
The panel was pretty, but still lots of white open spaces.  To add more color I took the same color distress inks and inked the edges of the card.  The finishing touch was stamping the sentiment in Versafine Ink and adhering the panel to the card front.
A simple bow of gold string and a sprinkle of colorful enamel dots completes the card.

Want to go shopping?  I hope you'll give Tupelo Designs LLC a chance - I think you'll be so glad you did!
