Hi and thanks for stopping by!! I'm calling out to all Sistahs! On the 17th of the month CAS-ual Fridays Stamps sponsors a blog hop to remind you and the important women in your life to make sure you're doing your monthly breast self-exam and scheduling a yearly mammogram. You can make a difference and you might just save a life! I got mine last month - and thank goodness no recall this year!!
1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime. Early detection is so important for treatment! We want all the women in our lives to know how important they are to us and how much we want them to live strong healthy lives.
CAS-ual Fridays Stamps owner Michele is a survivor. She designed a line of stamps to provide support and to promote awareness. 50% of the sale of products in the "Calling All Sistahs" campaign are donated to breast cancer research and awareness.
If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Melissa Miller's blog. You can get all the blog hop details and begin here - at the CAS-ual Fridays Blog!
It's also St. Patrick's Day so I want to add a bit of green to my design today! Since I'm hopping along every month I wanted to challenge myself to add a elements from the month or season to my design.
I started by watercoloring with distress ink on some Ranger watercolor paper. I stamped the Starlequin border over the watercolor in Delicata Gold ink.
Four Petal Flower Fri Dies become Four Leaf Clovers. I added some inking to their tips with a Copic Marker. The sentiment in the top corner is from the Calling All Sistah's Stamp Set.
A scatter of gold sequins picks up on all the gold in the design. I wanted to include a little pink too so I added some sequins from the Sistahood Sparkle pack from Pretty Pink Posh.
Here's a complete list of all the designers with projects to share today!
Ok.. on to the next blog for you! Kelly Griglione's got some eye candy for you!!! But before you go.. please leave me a comment! Three winners will be selected from today's hop to receive a $15 gift certificate to the shop! But you have to comment to win!! You have until 12 am US EST on March 19 to leave a comment so you better hurry!
