I started this card by stamping a background of flower bouquets with Momento Tuxedo Black ink, and then roughly coloring them with Copic markers. I wasn't careful to stay in the lines or to even color the flowers completely. I was just wanting to add a splash of color.
I tucked the "Congratulations" sentiment under the scalloped oval die cut that I used to matt the cake. The cake is adhered with adhesive foam tape allowing the twine that wraps around the card to sit flatly underneath.
I love the soft pastels and clean look of this design - that says alot for a pattern paper lover like me..
I made a second card using the 50% off stamp of the month - Love is Kind.
I made a simple watercolor heart and splashed it with paint in a darker shade than the heart wash, and splashed it again with some water - so some of the spots are dark, and some are very light.
Using my Misti tool I stamped the sentiment several times so it would fill in the smooth surface of the watercolor paper.
I cut the "Love" word die from the panel and stacked it on several "Love" word die cuts to give it a little height so you can see it better.
The finishing touch was a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Just was looking at your cards again! I love the background on the Wedding Cake card! That would be so cute to make matching Thank You or note cards using the little bouquet as the centerpiece. I'll have to put that on my project list!
