Happy Wednesday! For me that always means that it's time for the Sugar Pea Designs Sketch Challenge!
The rules are very simple…
- Create a new card or project using the sketch provided.
- SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated
- You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
- Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS53 so that we may check out your beautiful work.
- Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown below.
- One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $75!
- We will announce our Sweet Picks and our Main Winner at the end of each month.
- The more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning!
Here's the sketch for this week...
This is a great sketch for just about any of the images! I saw the big circle at the bottom of the sketch and knew I wanted to turn it into a shaker!
I stamped the sweet scene from What's Mew on a panel of white card stock and colored it with Copic Markers.
The sketch has a line that goes through the circle. I moved it up a bit so the sentiment doesn't slash through the image. I used a stitched border from Pretty Pink Posh Borders 2 set to stamp the sentiment, and one from the Borders 4 set to add the bitty scallops in blue under the white sentiment.
I filled the shaker with iridescent mini sequins (4mm) in Peridot Mist and Sunshine Glow and some Silver Shimmer Seed Beads, and adorned the tree branches with little Summer Flower Sequins all from Pretty Pink Posh.
I hope you'll join us! You can always find the challenge easy by clicking on "our latest sketch" in the right hand column of the Sugar Pea Designs Blog.
Have a great day!
I used some pattern paper with a tree print for the cover of my card. The little girl is looking out her window to a kitty standing on a tree branch. This is like a peek through the trees into her window. The Scallop Circle die from Pretty Pink Posh makes the perfect frame for the shaker.
