I'm playing at The Card Concept today! I love the inspiration photos they have for their challenges. This one is really farm shabby chic isn't it? Elements I wanted to capture were more about feelings than anything else. I got a sort of rustic feel from the galvanized buckets and straw hat in the photo. At the same time it was still very elegant.
So for the bit of rustic I added a burlap die cut border, some twine, and a grey and yellow pattern paper of ticket stubs. For the elegance.... a pretty Cheery Lynn doily, colorful flowers, sprinkle of sequins and bitty stick pin.
I hope this brightens your day! Oh I forgot! What style? I think I'm going to go Classy and Elegant on this one.Supplies Used: Finished Size 4.25 x 5.5"
Stamps: WPlus9 Fresh Cut Containers, Sentiment from Blanket Stitched

Oh no! It was meant to be that you spend some time with your daughter that morning! When Major even thinks about going ahead of my side I stop we do this a few time and then he remembers to stick close to my side and my lead. We have been doing that since he was a puppy though so he understands perfectly.

ReplyDeleteOh, Jeanne, this is gorgeous! I wish I had this container of flowers in real life...it is so beautiful and cheery. Somehow I got looking at cards of yours from a while ago...they were amazing, and now that I'm looking at all of your current cards, they are blowing me away as well. I could spend hours and hours soaking in all the gorgeousness and being inspired by your creations.

ReplyDeleteAs frustrating as being locked out was, it was a 'meant-to-be incident': time to spend with your daughter and a treat for your sweet Moriko! Silver lining! Your farm shabby chic card does evoke feelings: my grandmother, in the spring and summer, always had a bucket of flowers on the porch steps...a welcome to all visitors... and she had plenty, renowned throughout the county for her amazing desserts and 'dainties.' And her jewelry box: oh, what treasures we'd find...necklaces, earrings (clip on) and, yes, stick pins. Love your card, my friend; it's 1000000% brightened my day!
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
