A new monthly challenge began yesterday at House Of Cards. This time you are asked to make a stamped and cut window card. Mynn has a tutorial for you if you're not sure how. I used a die cut to create the window for my front panel. Make sure you choose a die cut that will look good with the sentiment you plan to use. My sentiment is rectangle shaped so a long label die was perfect. Next I stamped flowers and leaves around the cut window and then embossed the panel to add a little more texture.
I distressed the cover of my card base, set the die cut panel over the card to help me determine where to stamp my sentiment and used a stamp-a-majig to get perfect alignment.
To adhere the panel I used adhesive foam tape. It really adds dimension to that window and makes your card look so fussy. I hand trimmed an extra flower and leaves and adhered them inside the die cut window.
So fun right? And score ! Another holiday card done!
Finished Size 4.25 x 5.5"
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Big Bloom Poinsettia, Alpine Christmas (Sentiment)
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug Victoria
Dies: Top Dog Dies Pocket Page Banner
Gem
Ink: Memento / Ranger Distress Spun Sugar
Pure delight. Loving the cheerful flower frame.

I am so beyond happy that I popped over to take a much closer look at this one! It's a beautiful use of the technique and you've added a lovely twist to it. I just adore the fact that you stamped the images and then gave them texture - I've never thought to do that! Then I did a double take - you created a really beautiful Christmas card too - bliss, this is absolutely bliss to me! Thank you so much for entering our November Challenge. I hope we see you again for the December challenge Karen P (DT House of Cards)
