Hi and thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great day! I'm enjoying some summertime sunshine! Kids will be going back to school soon which always tells me that the cold weather will be here before you know it. My favorite time to go outside is after sunset - around 8 pm. We have three bats that buzz around catching insects. I love to watch them flitter this way and that. I can hear a Great Horned Owl off in the distance too. I'd sure love to get a glimpse of him!
A new challenge begins today at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog! Did you love the new release? I'm still playing with all the new designs and couldn't resist making a few more. The challenge this month is "Anything Goes" - so sky's the limit!
I love the new rooster on the fence stamp. It's so country isn't it? I thought it would look great with the Howdy die that was released last month. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers and I couldn't wait to color them up. I added a dab of glossy accents to their centers (DT member Marybeth gets the credit for that!!).
The wood look sequins are from Serendipity, and the scallop die is from Pretty Pink Posh and you can find them both in the Serendipity Store as well.
Want to see more projects from the design team to get you started? Just click on their names below to hop to their blog!
If you want to go shopping the 50% off stamp of the month is the Large Veggie Basket Stamp.
I hope you will join us this month! We'd love to see your designs!

ReplyDeleteJeanne, this is such a joyful card. I wish I had a way of mixing and matching papers. Don't have the confidence, unfortunately! This looks fantastic and the warmth just radiates out of it!!
ReplyDeletePacked with country charm with all your paper combos and beautiful coloring! Always admire your talent for combining patterns and textures so perfectly.

ReplyDeleteA gorgeous rooster, Jeanne, and you've selected papers that really add impact. So very handsome. Bats and owls - what wonderful surroundings you're in. We recently listed to a podcast about bats: fascinating! Yes, the summer is flying by; I'm back to work on the 24th, with school 'officially' starting Aug. 31. Yikes! Need to get some crafting done!

Lots of country charm in this one, Jeanne! Love your fabulous brightly colored rooster and the fun 'howdy' die cut! And I'm jealous to know you have bats! We hear a horned owl occasionally but like you don't see him. For me, the only problem with being out after sunset is the mosquitoes! Bummer!
ReplyDeleteHow cute & colorful, Jeanne! Love the howdy die & pretty country papers you used.
ReplyDeleteYour card reminds me of living in the mid-West and home. Love it! Another beauty!
