I made two projects today. The first features the Peacock Nouveau, and Branch Nouveau stamps. I stamped the peacock first and then created a mask. I just stamped the bird on a sticky note and fussy cut the image. Then I placed the sticky on top of the stamped image and then stamped the branch. I removed the sticky note and magic - they're one image!
The next card I made features the Nouveau Butterfly
I stamped the butterflies with Memento ink, colored them up with Copic markers and then hesitated about covering them all up - so I added a gold embossed vellum sentiment to let them peek through.

So pretty! I really like the colors in the first card...
ReplyDeleteThe bird looks awesome sitting on the branch, love your paper choices for this card too! The butterfly card is so bright, which I LOVE, and looks fabulous with the gold embossed sentiment!
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanne, had to come by to see what the 'master' did with the new release stamps! Gorgeous! Those butterflies are ready to fly off the page. Color master piece. You used the peacock and feathers brilliantly, masking so they'd blend as though they were one! Lovely! And as usual, love all the details!
ReplyDeleteWell, DH and I have a current hiatus on purchasing goodies from our respective hobbies. You incredible creations with those Nouveau stamps may cause me to break the pact, though! I may have to blame you for it, Jeanne! Sorry. :/
ReplyDeleteYour cards are delightful! I love your coloring, and the use of embossed vellum for the sentiment. I love the new stamp sets. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, WOW! I love both your cards. The peacock and the butterfly are so incredible.

Both of these are wonderful, Jeanne! Love the bright happy colors and fun layouts. The vellum pennant flags for the greeting on the butterfly card is just super.
ReplyDeletePeacock and its colors are my fav! Love the butterfly card with the velum sentiment.
ReplyDeleteLove the bird with sequins and the branch! That branch seems to say add sequins ! Beautiful inspiration and showcase here! I really like your blended background on the second card. Sounds like a nice Fathers Day.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty cards! The masking on the first really helps make the image a seamless work of art. And you really hit the mark by using the vellum for the sentiment panel so as not to cover up the beautifully colored butterflies!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful selection of cards! Nice bright color combos! Butterflies are IT right now too! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! i love the addition of the jewels on the branch. The butterfly card is just too cute!
