I made a card featuring the new "Be Kind" stamp. This stamp actually has three sentiments - so you can stamp them all at one time like I did or - you can cut them apart, or tape off the part you don't want to ink up. It's like getting three stamps for one!
My second card features a zentangle inspired design created by our very own DT member Jenny Gropp. This is a very large background stamp - it measures approximately 5 3/4 x 5 3/4".
I inked up the stamp VersaMark ink, stamped it on white card stock, and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Next I started blending with different distress inks - going for a colorful tie die look. I started with the yellow, then orange and then red. Light to dark.
Then I added green and blue. Last I wiped it down with a clean paper towel to remove the excess ink from the embossed areas.
Here's the finished piece. I cut it down to size to fit my card front. I saved the scraps so I can cut alphabet letters from them and use them on another project. I didn't want to cover up that pretty background too much so I added a layered sentiment that didn't take up too much space. It looked like it was "floating" so I added some twine wrapped around the card to anchor it down. The sentiment is also new and called "And I Think To Myself" .

Both of these are beautiful, Jeanne! Love the papers and layout on the first and your second is just fabulous w/ the emboss resist. Now why didn't I think of that, lol?
