Welcome to the March Edition of the 12 Kits of Holidays. We used to be the 12 Kits of Christmas but decided to add some other holidays in here as well this year. Just to refresh your memory, the 12 Kits is a group of 12 designers. We've each been assigned one month to supply goodies to the rest of the group. We all get the same ingredients to work with and on the last day of the month we reveal our creations! It's interesting to see how we all use the same ingredients just a little differently to showcase our own style. The hostess this month is Ms. Tracey McNeely from "In My Creative Opinion" blog. It was so neat to get this package all the way from Canada!
Tracey is a very C&S gal and this kit was totally her style - meaning the images were clean and graphic. She provided a generous rainbow of solid card stock, pattern papers and cute images for Easter/Spring. She even included some pretty ribbons (satin, ric rac, stitched and grosgrain) and gems to satisfy a fru fru gal like me. I like to keep the kits "as is" - meaning I don't like to add much to the supplies I receive. I think I'm getting a little more C&S with this philosophy and it challenges me to deal with the clean wide open spaces. The first thing I did when I opened the envelope was color the little chickie and bunny - they're just adorable! I made 4 cards this time!
Whew! Mission accomplished! I'm really happy with how they turned out! I hope you will check out the other designs from the rest of the team - seriously neat to see some of the different ways we use the ingredients! I'm curious to see how the others used the round paper clips. I just couldn't figure out a way to squeeze them in here! Thanks for stopping by!

Awwwwwmazing, Jeanne! Your cards really showcased the adorable critters to the max!! Love them!!
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow--such an amazing collection of cards. I love them all. Your coloring is amazing--and I did see you snuck a signature Jeanne bow in at the end--love that! I think my fave is that first card with the colored chick--brilliant idea to put him on that little framed out frame. But, really they are all my favorites.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you colored your bunny and chick! Jeanne you did a wonderful job with this kit! Your spring card is gorgeous, so cute the way you used the flower. Love the last one with that gorgeous orange bow!
ReplyDeleteI have to say you also do such a professional write up. So many gifts you have been given. I am wondering what it is that you make for a Polish dinner, I know of a few things.
Hope you have a blessed Easter my friend !
Oh, Jeanne, they are all AMAZING!! I love how you captured some of Tracey's CAS style and added your own wonderful touches!! The cards with the critters are all adorable and I am so in love with that little chick--just SO CUTE! Happily I still have mine to play with so can do a little CASEing!!! Love the idea of the flower with the 'SPRING' die cut and of course the gorgeous bow you added on the last card! Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter!!
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd inspire me with your use of the papers in this kit! Your coloring of the chick and bunny is perfect, too. The last card is my favorite with that gorgeous orange ribbon!
ReplyDeleteJeanne, stunning cards as always! You really have a way with paper and trimmings and these are so beautiful. I love that sweet little bunny and that you colored the carrot to look like candy corn, just too cute. Your first card with that little chickie, the cutest card ever and now I need that stamp set too! I love how you used that little mini frame behind it too, a great way to make him pop! Wishing you and your family a wonderful Easter.
ReplyDeleteI love how you made a Tracey's CAS kit into your own Jeanne...I see your new favorite...ric rack and also a signature bow. Every one of your cards just screams Spring and I love those cute little birds perched onto the Spring die cut.
ReplyDeleteJeanne you completely rocked the kit and I so plan on CASEing your gorgeous designs. The chickie on the first card with the Framed Out die is brilliant--love it! The two birdies on top of the spring just made me gasp because it was like "why didn't i think of that?", so cute. Wonderful my friend and i agree with Marybeth your write up is very professional.
ReplyDeleteThat chickie one is TOO cute...caught my eye right away! As did the beautiful Easter egg card...yes, 'cause-a-the-bow :)!! The blue birds are so sweet perched on the die cut like that. I was telling Amy that I hoarded those die cuts...the patterned papers I can cut, but those words did not get glued down...only shuffled! Kept saving them for some reason. Maybe it's so I can case cute cards like these! So cheerful and sunny, Jeanne...just like YOU! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteJeanne!!! I love EVERY card this month!!!! The first one oozes cuteness....oh my I love the way you put the bow and how the sweet chick is in the tiny polaroid. The second one is just so fun with the bunny in the egg, the bold paper, and the sweet rickrack border. The third I love those bright blue birds and how you used the flower for the "I" in spring. And finally, the bow, the layout, and eggs....LOVE the last one!
ReplyDeleteI would be so embarrassed if you had live video feed to your blog and saw my response to these cards! I was like an excited 4 year old in a 2 story candy store! These are GORGEOUS Jeanne. Hot diggity dog...love 'em.
ReplyDeleteOhmygosh! It's so much fun to see you play around with the cutesy animals:) Such a fun kit!!! I don't even know which card is my favorite, but I keep going back to the Spring card with the birdies perched on each side. That one is pretty darn perfect:)
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Wow! Those are just the CUTEST Easter cards! Puts a big smile on my face! Hope you had a wonderful Easter! Take care, hugs!
