Reverse Confetti October Blog Hop

It's the 8th of the month! That means it's time to hop with Reverse Confetti. Every other month we alternate with new releases and existing product. The new release was last month, but USPS wasn't very nice to me. My order never arrived. Finally I have my hands on the new goods so I'm excited to share two cards today for our monthly blog hop. If you're following along you should have reached me from Tiffany Pryce-Russom's blog.  If you'd like to start at the beginning and get all the details, you'll find them here at the Reverse Confetti blog.

Halloween is my hand's down favorite holiday.  I love the clever costumes, pumpkins, and decor that make the end of summer turn into a magical time.
Today I'm sharing two cards made with the new Boo Day.  This card starts with an ombre Distress Oxide inked panel topped with the Lined Up Cover Plate.  The plate actually covers an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5") but I cut mine down because I wanted more color to show through along the edges.
I topped the panel with a Large Detailed Circle Frame and a Layered Boo die cut.  I saved the center cut out and inked that with Distress Oxide ink also.  The "Happy Halloween" script sentiment is from the Halloween Sentiments Stamp Set.

The finishing touch was the addition of the ghost and cat bat with adhesive foam tape and a sprinkle of jewels.

Not a big fan of layers?  That's ok because this set looks fab stripped down too.  This card starts again with a Distress Oxide inked background.  There's actually five shades of ink in that background starting with Fossilized Amber and ending with Wilted Violet.
A sentiment from the Boo Day set is stamped directly on the inky panel.
Finally I added the images - some adhered flat to the card like the kitty in the pumpkin and the ghost, while others are adhered with adhesive foam tape.  This adds dimension to the design.
The spider seemed to be hanging down too far for me.. it was touching the witch cap on the kitty so I snipped it and shortened the string.  Did you notice?
The next stop on this hop is Lisa Henke!  The following is a complete list of all the designers with projects to share today!
I hope you have fun seeing all the projects and that they inspire you to make a few masterpieces of your own!  Hugs to you!
