Pretty Pink Posh August Release Blog Hop!

Halloween is my hands down favorite holiday of the year. I love the costumes, the glamour and bit of mischief being able to channel an assumed identity for just a night. If you love Halloween too then you're in the right place! Pretty Pink Posh is celebrating their August release with a blog hop.
If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Dana Kirby's blog.  If you'd like to start at the beginning and get all the details, you'll find them here at the Pretty Pink Posh blog.
I'm smitten with the new Monster Hugs stamp set. It includes lots of cute little monsters that look great in lots of different colors. I colored a whole stack of them - each one a little bit different so I could choose just the right one to pair up with the new Halloween Wreath. I think this lime green little guy is perfect here.
I decided to go with some non traditional colors for my cards today. I think the oozy green and blue inky background is perfect here. It's actually Distress Oxide in Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.
The inky background is topped with the Pretty Petals Cover Panel. I added some Shamrock and Spring Green Jewels for a little sparkle... and I love how the Monster Hugs sentiment fits perfectly inside the wreath!
The second card I'm sharing today starts out with a rainbow Distress Ink background so it's a little brighter. I inked in Salty Ocean, Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple.
Yes! There are some new stencils this release!!! I spritzed the Trellis stencil with some Pixie Spray, adhered it to my inky panel and then applied some Light Molding Paste to the panel. When I spread it on it was white, but because it's a little moist the color of the Distress Ink was absorbed in the paste. I like the texture and subtle color variation it provides.
Next I added Boo Shaker and a Scallop Rectangle Frame. I added a cute little Monster Hugs Monster, and some bitty accents from the Halloween Wreath set.
Isn't this little guy adorable holding the rainbow swirl sweetie?   I really like the different colors with the Monsters.

Ready to see more Halloween designs made with the new Pretty Pink Posh August release?  Your next stop is Mayra D. Hernandez!  But before you go please leave me a comment!! You have to comment to win!
