Sugar Pea Designs September Release Day 1
Gnome For Christmas


What a great day for a visit! It's Sweet Peek Week at Sugar Pea Designs! All week we'll be sharing peeks of the new release that will hit the store on September 13! There's lots to see so let's get started! Today we're showing the GNOME FOR CHRISTMAS stamp set. Of course there are coordinating Sugar Cut dies that make these easy to cut and play with.
There are three cute little gnomes in this set as well as lots of accessories like trees, a little lantern, and a cuppa to keep the little guys toasty! 
How do you like that plaid background? That's another NEW for this release a big.. and I mean BIG stamp - it's 6x6" called BUFFALO CHECK so you can make your own pattern paper. I stamped it with blue ink on light blue card stock. 
I know you're spying up that SNOW GLOBE too aren't you? 
The SNOW GLOBE couldn't get easier. It includes the outline with a snowy border, a snow pattern cut out, base, and a strip for sentiments too.
I used a regular circle die cut to add a circle of white behind the inked snowy background, but you could stack an uncut insert under there as well. 
I cut the snow globe base from a thin piece of wood veneer that I adhered to a piece of card stock for added stability. I wrapped a piece of twine around the base and adhered it to the card with some foam tape. 
I added a little sun / moon and snowflake from WHATEVER THE WEATHER die set to complete the scene.

    What a great idea to use wood veneer on the snow globe base!! It adds such a fun, unexpected touch of authenticity! You've made wonderful winter cards using these amazing new products!!
    Congrats to SPD on a great release! The new products are sensational and this is just Day 1! Can't wait to see what else is going to be available!
