Twinery Graceful Stag Collage

Did you know it's National "Take A Hike" day? This time of year a walk in the woods is a feast for the eyes. The colorful foliage in every shade you can imagine looks amazing! If you're lucky you might just catch a glimpse of some wildlife too!

This Graceful Stag die surrounded by all the beautiful colors of nature seemed like just the thing for Take A Hike day! I started with a panel of card stock that was just a little bit bigger than the window opening of the die cut. I adhered double sided tape along both the long outer edges and started attaching lengths of beautiful Twinery Twine. I added a rainbow of color... strawberry, pink sorbet, maraschino, mandarin, honeydew, pea-pod, caribbean, denim, lilac, flax, cappuccino, stone, and charcoal.

Then I adhered the twine covered panel to the front of my card base making sure all the edges will be hidden by the die cut cover panel for the front of the card.
Because the twine is dimensional and a I want the cover panel to lay flat I added a strip of craft foam along the right edge. I added adhesive to the back of the die cut stag panel and then attached it to the yarn. If you use adhesive glue you will want to place a weight, like an acrylic block over the die to keep it flat as it dries.
All that color is spectacular!
What will you make today?
