Pretty Little Studio | Friday Feature | Note Flags

Every Friday at Pretty Little Studio we select a product from the store to "show off" and put in the spotlight. Today's feature is "Note Flags". You can find them in the store here. Note flags are great for adding sentiments to cards, or journaling on scrapbook pages. The note flags come in sheets or die cut, are the perfect size for alphabet stickers, and come in colors to mach every project too! I tried to look at the note flags in a different way for my project today! I used the note flags to add an extra layer of embellishment on my card. What makes this work so well is that I repeated the flag shape several times for the focal point.
So let me give you all the details! I started with a background of papers from the Sand Castle Collection. I trimmed a 4" Cambridge Doily and attached it to the bottom panel of the card. The 4" size is perfect for A2 size cards (4.25 x 5.5") and by cutting them you spread your supplies - now I have another half for a second project! I love little peeks of the frilly lace on projects!

For my focal point I layered (bottom to top) a Sand Castle Bookmark Tag, Sunset Beach Note Flags, and Marigold Foxglove Garland Flags.

For my header I layered a Cut Apart "Sailing" Label, more Sunset Beach Note Flags, Sand Castle Garland Circle and a sentiment from Die Cut Tags - Winter Wishes. Don't have the word die cuts? This would be a great place for a flair too!

The finishing touch was a sprinkle of confetti stars from the Starry Night Mix.

What made this card easy as pie was that all the elements were already printed, and most already die cut - ready to assemble. The Note Flags make great embellishments and I love the pop of color they add to this card!
