Fusion Card Challenge - April Showers

Happy Thursday!   I've got TWO posts today - a new release of dies from Memory Box / Poppystamps Creator Dave Brethauer with an awesome give away.   So please take some time and look around.

Are you ready for a new FUSION Challenge?  You know what they say... "April Showers bring May Flowers" - well I'm all for that.  We put in a new cherry tree this week - the new one we put in during the fall didn't make it.   Maybe you remember my sad cherry tree story?  The town was removing dead trees from the easement by the street and accidentally took down my 10 year old bing cherry tree.   I'm not sure I'll ever be able to replace it.   Will I still be living here when the new one finally produces cherries?  I'm hoping for the best!
The minute I saw the sketch I knew it was time I pulled out my Pretty Pink Posh  "Rainy Days" set.    I cut the rainbow using the landscape die from the Stitched Borders One Set.  I cut one side with the stitches, and then moved the die about 1/4" and then cut again.  Next I taped all the cut strips together and trimmed them so they would land perfectly on the handle of the umbrella.
Isn't the smiley face cloud adorable?  I decided to give him rosy cheeks... or is it a her?
I originally started with a watercolor background - you know.. rain....   Somehow it didn't look right to me - I decided the die cut card stock would be better on well.. card stock!   So I chose a sky blue and embossed it with dots.

A sprinkle of clear droplets (more rain) and a sunny sentiment with matching stitches around the edges... yep.. everything looks coordinated now! :)

Are you ready to play?   Check out what the rest of the team made - just click on their names to jump to their blogs.

I sure hope you join us at Fusion Card Challenge!
