Cupcake Inspirations - Wedding Cake

My sweet friend Carol Mayne is on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Design Team so YES I want to play along with her.  Carol makes the most beautiful cards, and she is one of the sweetest people in blog land.  It makes perfect sense that she is on the Cupcake Inspirations design team.  I mean ... what could be sweeter than that?    I saw the beautiful card she made for the inspiration pic this time and it was so tempting that I couldn't resist.    Just look a that gorgeous cupcake.  I used lots of elements from the photo for my card today.  I started with the light blue frosting on top of the cupcake for my base.  I embossed the softest blue card stock I have with a mini dot pattern.  Next I topped it with a layer of lace icing - a Marianne lace die cut in white.
I had to add a kraft tag for the Mr. & Mrs. and decided to make mine an anniversary card.  November is a big month her.  Both mine and my folks anniversary is this month. I know my mom will love all the fancy frills on this and will be showing it off to anyone who stops by!

I love paper flowers.  Iamroses.com has the best selection.  All the flowers are hand made in Thailand,  and they charge only 50 cents shipping for each item ordered.
The clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh add just the right amount of shine to make this even more elegant.   The pearl ring is from the floral department at Hobby Lobby.
Thanks for stopping by for a peek!  Have a beautiful day!

  8. My dear friend, I'm blushing several shades of red with your sweet comments and shout out! You are the epitome of 'awesome'; thank you soooo much! Your card...good thing I'm sitting down, because the swooning is exponential! Every aspect of the photo is translated here: from the blue tinge of the icing, to the kraft tag (such a beautiful shape), to the delicate 'iced' decorating. And the flowers...oh, the flowers! An outstanding, to-be-treasured anniversary card...So thrilled to see you at Cupcake Inspirations! And yes, in case I wasn't clear: consider me WOWed!
    Hugs~c
