Serendipity Stamps August Release Blog Hop!

Ready for a fun hop filled with adventure?  Serendipity Stamps is celebrating the August Release with a blog hop!  If you're following along from the beginning you should have reached me from the amazing Vickie Zimmer's blog.  If you would like to start at the beginning and get all the details you can do that here - at Mary's Blog!!
Hot Air Balloons Reverse DieThere is lots to see today - new stamps and new dies.  I decided to focus on what I love best!!! DIES!! There are two new one this time.  The first is Hot Air Balloons Reverse Die.  It's perfect for cutting backgrounds.   I cut the image from a light blue card stock panel that I adhered to a white card base.   I cut the die several more times in different colors and inlaid the pieces on the card base.   I stamped the new  "Let You're Dream's Soar"  sentiment in the bottom corner of the card.  This technique makes a colorful flat card perfect for mailing.   I added a few sequins for some sparkle and shine.

Don't want to fuss with all the extra die cutting for the inlay?  The die looks amazing "as is" just cut from solid paper and layered on solid card stock.

Birds DiesThe other new die set is called "Birds", and I think you're going to love these.  There are two different bird bodies that you can dress up in different ways. You can use just the silhouette, or add a top layer like I did on the light blue bird here, or just a wing like the darker blue bird.  You can "ruffle" the feathers by bending them up from the die cut to add dimension.  There's lots of cute little accessories too - hats for Spring and Winter and even a little worm for the early bird!  I added  the top hat with a flower on one of my birds.  These little guys have lots of possibilities and you can dress them up in different patterns and colors for a bird as unique as you!

Ready to see more of the new release?   The next stop is Jenny Gropp - I know she's going to blow you away with her beautiful layers and coloring!  But before you go.. make sure you leave me a comment!!  One comment will be selected from all the blogs on the hop to receive a $20 gift certificate from Serendipity Stamps!  You can leave a comment through 8-9.  Mary will post the winner on her blog on Monday 8-10.

Everyone is a winner because the special is free shipping on all US orders of $15 or more Good August 7 through 9.

  7. The hot air balloons die is really smart, such an easy way to cover the front of a card without having to die cut separate balloons. Your cards are always so bright and cheery...today is just another beautiful example of your happy style. I also love how you put the little hat on the bird in your third card...cute idea!
